My Dad is a retired Vietnam Vet and as he advances in age, isn't able to do many of the things he used to do for fun. However, he has recently gotten pretty involved in fly tying and makes a ton of dry flies and gives them to others. He is also a Purple Heart recipient and strong advocate and supporter of our military members. He has been very active in the Military Order of the Purple Heart and it's something that provides great purpose to him. I am just getting into 3D printing. He came to visit recently and I was showing him some of the stuff I had printed and he remarked that the little bambu tool set box I printed would be perfect for storing flies. What I would like to do is print a few boxes similar to this https://makerworld.com/en/models/1553096-fly-boxes-for-streamer-flies-and-dry-flies?from=search#profileId-1631434 in black and on the front cover have the full color Purple Heart imprinted. Is this feasible? Is there someone handy that could help me with the design? I'm not looking to sell these. I would make a couple for my Dad and if he asked, I would print some extras for him to give out to his MOPH buddies. I know it's an even bigger stretch, but if I could do it for Fathers Day, that would be amazing. Thank you |
