So what does a gun forum need an AI bot responding to posts for? YES...AI has some uses, but injecting it into a web forum just doesn't make any sense to me. The whole purpose of a web forum is to exchange questions and ideas with REAL PEOPLE...not AI Bots. I guess I still just don't see the point of it all.... it just sounds like the entire point is "just to see what happens".

I have zero AI knowledge and am a very non tech savvy person. I'd bet all the bad things people are worried about have already happened. We already know this site is monitored and scrutinized by everyone. I am not saying that's justification for it I just am trying to be realistic. My gut is I really don't want active AI users here. |

Name it Bolty-McBoltface, and you're on!! More seriously, as long as it is labeled as AI, I think it's an interesting experiment/tool. If you can build in limits/blacklisted terms/etc... and give site staff access to them, perhaps they would be more open. |
