Brand new BSR purple foams and damn they were slick as hell. Went full throttle and she spun and hit the curb and flipped about 4 times. Broke one wheel but checked her out and everything else seemed ok. Put the stock Deboots back on and went one more time. She was planted but I ran out of room quick and had to get on the brakes. The foam tires aren't really needed until you start hitting the 120+mph barrier. They make the car slide around until you hit high speeds. Once downforce kicks in then the car will be planted. GRP's are great for 120 mph or less. ETA: Crank those rear shock collars all the way down. You always want the rear of the car sitting higher otherwise you'll have an RC airplane. Don't ask me how I know.

| Buddy was up for the weekend. Brought his Fazer with a 70 Mazda body with him (along with a Rage 2.0 and Tamiya DT-04). Was playing around with it on the dead end street across from our house. Hit 50MPH on 2S, and 54MPH on 3S. Couldn't keep traction with 3S, even when using a set of street tires I gave him. We're sure the car has a LOT more potential, but traction, and aerodynamics, are the limiting factors. He'd have to put another body on it with more downforce. |

Attached File I've hit a brick wall speedwise with mine at 111, can't get past it. Main issues being tires and Tx signal range. I'm trying different foams, put in a 33t pinion, trying different throttle curves in the ESC, tweaking the chassis here and there. Put on some lights so I can do night runs. I also installed a 2nd antenna in the Rx which gave me some extra range but only maybe 50m or so. I think Im going to have to install a signal booster in the radio which I was trying to avoid but I keep getting signal loss in the shutdown area which is flanked by irrigation ditches that are dry right now but Ive crashed into twice. Car is a tank thankfully and takes hits pretty well. |

Welp. Blew one of the Hoons out at around 107 last night. She cut hard left, jumped a curb and catapulted over a 7ft fence into someone's back yard. This was at 2am so I left a note on their door and they called me at 8am and were very nice and understanding. I'm very relieved it didn't cause any damage to their house. Yes I can be be fuckin dumb as hell sometimes. No more speedrunning in neighborhoods. Attached File Attached File |

I'd say they lasted maybe 5 passes before blowing. I've heard GRP hard compound tires perform better but everyone and their moms run foams for anything over 120. I'll never speedrun on rubber again. I saw one guy who was testing the new Limitless rtr and he struggled to get over 100 outta the box. |
