Hive, I bought a used dress watch on a whim. I thought it would be nice to have for the rare occasions when I wear a suit or sport coat. The bracelet is 8.5". I can barely get it over my hand with the clasp open. When I close the clasp it's loose on my wrist. My gut tells me that if I had a link removed, I wouldn't be able to get it over my hand sans lube. I suppose I could replace the stainless bracelet with a leather band, but I'm interested to hear if there are any other options? |

When you say loose How loose is loose? Like spinning around your wrist? Or you can get A finger under it? Does it have micro adjustmets in the buckle? Does it have two different sized links ? What brand is it? You could always put a metal stretch / expansion band on it. If it is not a luxury brand. |

Spinning around the wrist is an accurate description. I will check for adjustment. I do not think there are different size links. I will probably get flamed for this; it's a Gucci G-Timeless 138.4. I appreciate your thoughts on this. |

Double zero noob to watches checking back in to display his n00bdom. I didn't open both sides of the clasp. Sorry I'm dumb. I will get a link out and should be good. Is this something I should take to the jeweler or something I can do myself? Please disregard my clasp ignorance. I'm perfectly capable of removing a pin and watching YouTube. |

I pulled 2 links out of 6 o'clock side of the bracelet. Much better fit. Side note, this watch may be used, but there's a couple things that it may have not been worn. Clasp is very tight, but in a crisp sense. There was also a significant amount of sticky residue on the backside from what I would think was shipping protective film. I have learned a LOT from the non-AI videos on youtube - Teddy Baldessare (sp?) is really good, he actually has a watch boutique in the Cleveland area that I'm going to try to hit, soon! Learn to separate out the hype from those actually showing you the real watch, doing reviews, education, going in to the actual manufacturing, repair, history, etc....don't listen to the "hype" folks and predictions...so much AI crap out there. |
