Bitcoin hits $125k - 10/4/25 (Page 614 of 618)

I sold BTC this spring I bought for $20. Not a typo, twenty dollars. If it platues again I might by more. No idea where that could be. Given BTC history that could be 60k could be 5k. We will see... It has no inherent value what so ever and zero price or trading controls practically speaking. This means it will always be extremely volatile. Where extreme volatility exits so does the profit potential. It's a gamble and it's the same gamble at $65,000 as it is at $65. Once you understand that crypto makes more sense. |

Not that I want to litigate this topic for the 87th time, but for the record: Nothing has inherent value. Humans decide what something is worth at any time, in any location, and for any reason. To a man stranded on an island with nothing but precious metals, a gold bar is worthless and a loaf of bread is invaluable. Once you understand that (along with scarcity, durability, portability, and transferability), bitcoin makes more sense. Once you understand that crypto makes more sense. Zero price or trading controls is probably a good thing, but that's just my opinion. Some might say that the inherent value of Bitcoin could be compared to the inherent value of Western Union at it's peak, or perhaps even a Visa or Mastercard today. |

He suggests this signal may precede a major price movement (heavily implying bullish momentum). 2. Technical analysis emphasis The video is centered on charts and indicators. The creator highlights patterns that he believes are repeating from a previous cycle. 3. Urgency and timing The tone is urgent — “it’s happening again now.” The implication is that traders should pay attention immediately. 4. Audience takeaway The message is: a historically rare Bitcoin signal has reappeared, and the creator believes it could precede a significant BTC move. ⭐ Bottom Line The video claims that Bitcoin is repeating a rare technical pattern that previously preceded a major price event, and the creator frames this as a high‑importance alert for traders. |

I started selling a bit in order to pay off house and other stuff... so, you're welcome for the change in direction. Gemini customer service was actually pretty okay getting my account reactivated. Should have paid attention to their change in 2FA last fall. |

Interesting. This guy called the bottom at $16k, rode it up and called top at $120k, then shorted it all the way down. Anyways, he just flipped bullish. https://x.com/DrProfitCrypto/status/2078915467737972949?s=20 |

And then there's the shitshow that is the Clarity Act. I feel like it passing might have the potential to kick things off, but the process to get there continues to be a legislative dumpster fire. https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/clarity-act-unlikely-pass-august-172050408.html |

Grok The Clarity Act (full name: Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025, or CLARITY Act; H.R. 3633) is a bipartisan U.S. congressional bill that creates a regulatory framework for digital assets and cryptocurrencies. It aims to end regulatory uncertainty by clearly dividing oversight between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC): CFTC generally gets primary jurisdiction over “digital commodities” (blockchain-based assets that are not securities, especially those on mature/decentralized networks) and related spot market activities, including exchanges, brokers, and dealers. SEC retains authority over digital assets that function as securities (e.g., investment contracts) and certain related activities. Key provisions Defines terms like blockchain, digital commodities, and mature/decentralized systems. Sets rules for registration, trade monitoring, recordkeeping, customer asset protection (e.g., against commingling), and disclosures. Provides exemptions or safe harbors for certain offerings on mature blockchains and for truly decentralized finance (DeFi) activities (with limits on “decentralized in name only” setups). Applies Bank Secrecy Act anti-money laundering and sanctions rules to relevant crypto intermediaries. Includes related measures, such as restrictions on Federal Reserve banks offering certain retail products/services and prohibitions related to central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Current status (as of late July 2026) The bill was introduced in the House in May 2025, passed the House with strong bipartisan support in July 2025 (294–134), and advanced through the Senate Banking Committee in May 2026 (15–9 bipartisan vote). It has been placed on the Senate legislative calendar but has not yet received a full Senate floor vote or become law. Negotiations and updates (including merged committee work) have continued, with ongoing debate over details like stablecoin rewards and other provisions. In short, it is the main proposed U.S. “crypto market structure” legislation intended to provide clear rules of the road for digital assets while protecting investors and supporting innovation. |

This is very important, the ramifications for BTC will be inherently risky short term and possibly life changing long term. No one knows what is really happening behind the scenes, but things are starting to wash out after 30 years. If Japan stops lending and brings capital back, violently, it will have unintended consequences. There is certainly a change in he psychology and psyche here in Japan, inflation is having a significant effect on society and there is rising nationalism. The cheap yen is a a source of national shame, but the tourism industry is keeping us afloat, it is like a drug the government is addicted to. This is a good summary of what is happening. In regards to BTC, it is uncharted and I am advising clients to get ready for a purchasing opportunity in the next 6 to 12 months, but also be aware there is a risk of major collapse. Anyone predicting what will happen is full of it. We do know the government is pro BTC, so that comes into it. Personally, I think we will have a debt jubilee, although it's probably just wishful thinking on my part. But, Japan will fight, and there is public support for a policy that protects the yen, but more importantly protect Japanese companies. BTC repatriation will move the market, we do know that. ![]() Japan's Money Is Collapsing |

The SEC is now suggesting that they might have to take matters into their own hands if congress fails to act. https://news.bitcoin.com/regulation-and-legal/sec-chair-backs-clarity-act-says-hes-optimistic-congress-will-pass-landmark-crypto-bill/ Personally, I think Atkins should lean on them ever harder. ![]() |

The answer is not to give up on self-custody out of laziness. The answer is to learn to improve your OWN security; dice rolls, pass phrases on top of seed phrases, multi-sig... |

Sorry you were affected man. At least you were able to move them. I saw a post on X stating .."NOW this feels like a bear market." I wonder for those that have been thru collapses before. What do you all think? Is this the Mt Gox of this cycle? Hits differently, I know, since these people did almost everything right. As far as what they knew at least. |

Not only that, this is shaking peoples faith Vast vast majority of holders are not that technical to be able to delve into the chip of a hardware maker and make sure it is all on the up and up. Even with open source most are just relying on the other really technical people to stress test the wallets. My opinion of course. |
