Anyone have a natural supplement or regimen that supports healthy testosterone levels? Something OTC that you feel has helped you? Secondly, I am also interested in any supplement you feel has helped you as you recover in your athletic lifestyle as you have gotten older. I am getting older and still on the mat and lifting everyday. Just looking to compare regimens and gain some knowledge of what others are doing! Thank you! |

Further, do you get blood work done to track your testosterone levels? Unless you actually have any kind of trends you can point to, you don't really know if you are low or not. Just through lifestyle my numbers have varied from the mid 200's to the mid 600's year over year for several years. When they are lower I'm usually stressed from work, and/or sick, and not sleeping as well. When they are higher I've typically been recovering properly, eating less sugar, and sticking to more strict programming when lifting. At no point in those peaks and valleys did I feel high or low though, if I was feeling tired it's because I was tired, if I was feeling good it's because I was doing the things I'm supposed to be doing to feel good. |

Blood testing shows none of the 'testosteronal support/boosting supplements' have any measurable effect in your blood. The most powerful thing you can do is consistently sleep well for 8-10 hours a night. A second thing is make sure you have enough vitamin D. Unless you're outside shirtless every day you probably need a D3 with K2 supplement of around 5000 IU per day. When it comes down to effective supplements. Creatine Mono is the most researched/proven supplement on the market. 10-20G per day seems to be the ticket. If I were going to recommend supplements to people it would be 5000iu D3/K2. 20g of Creatine mono per day. and a good sleep aid. (Gorilla Dreamz works like a charm for me but its expensive). Lastly. A good stim preworkout also seems to be very effective for a short term boost in performance. If you're sleeping a consistent 8-10 hours a night and getting plenty of sunlight/D3 and still have shit testosterone numbers. I'd say TRT + 10MG per day of Cialis. |

Creatine is supposed to really help with both workouts and recovery, but I've tried it several times and just can't get it to jive with my body. Even after the loading phase I'm just pissing non stop when I'm taking it. The most recent time I tried some in just some apple cider it gave me a scratchy throat all day. I figured after several experiments with it that it's not for me. |
