I’ve got three Turtles I wear in rotation. My current watch I’m wearing is the PADI Turtle. It loses about a 15 seconds to a minute a day. I’ve never actually checked it down to the second. Otherwise, everything is fine. About to switch out to another one this week and I want to send this out for service before putting it away for a few months. |

I've heard some good things about @intheburbs recommendation, but they're known to be expensive and they charge you what they want and will sometimes change parts unnecessarily (per your request) and charge you. I like to mod Seiko's but always just buy parts and have it done by various modders from the r/Seikomod subreddit. I'd give a shot on there and see if there's someone close to you as all you're asking for is a calibration. FYI, your watch sounds like it's still w/in spec. If they have the factory 4R36 movement, +45/-35 sec per day is the spec. |

I don’t know if they go to the same place as grand Seiko, but if they do, good luck. My SBGN029 (which has a quartz movement) was in service for damn near 7 months. They replaced the freakin battery and the gaskets. 7 months. |

Great info here. I did a mod years ago with an 007. After watching the video posted, I’m going to pop open the back and make the adjustment. Now if I can just find my watch tools. His adjustment was so subtle that I had to look three times to see if he actually adjusted it. |

Use something wood or plastic to adjust. It helps with not scratching as well as not magnatizing. I have been using a wood chopstick for the last few ive done with decent results. Also try to make sure to push as parallel as possible with little to no down force as that can potentially cause issues. If you've modded SKX's before this should be pretty easy for you to do. I have five Seiko divers automatics that I've sent in for servicing and repair. Quick turn around. I sent my Kinetic divers watch in to replace the crystal and servicing in July and all is well. |

Been on a cruise and traveling around all this month and part of October. Hope to get this done soon. |

I have a Seiko 5 that has always lost about a minute per week. One day I went swimming, and afterwards it lost 3 minutes/week. No visible water in it, maybe it was confidence. Took it to a local jewelry store with a watch maker. Estimate was $250, because he needed a part.  he may have been talking about the crystal, which does have a scratch, but that's not what it's on for. I said fuck it and I'll either live with it or send it to the people noted above. Or get a wild hair up my ass and try to fix it myself, poor fine motor skills be damned. |
