| Where should one be looking for used watches like Tudor or Omega? I stopped at a local dealer that had some estate stuff and surprisingly they had 2 Breitlings and a Rolex but the styles were no good. I'm thinking I'd like to get into a Tudor next, most likely. |

| A quick search on DavidSW shows a Tudor Pelagos FXD to be about $4175. Is this pretty much what you should expect for one of these? Are there any deals to be had, maybe for certain models or something? I admittedly don't know as much about the line as I probably should. |

FXD is my favorite watch. Haven’t taken it off except for 2 days since I bought it 10 months ago! His prices are high but he’s got a terrific reputation. I’d probably buy new at that price point. I was offered $1000 off the blue FXD a few months ago from the local dealer. I don’t think the black one gets discounted, but I could be wrong. |

I ended up trading mine for a Sinn U1DS and $500. Liked the FXD but wasn't in love with it. FXDs are a dime a dozen so I might grab one down the road. Love the U1DS and there were only 500 made so I thought that was interesting, and each has a unique dial from the grinding - kind of like a meteorite dial has its own unique design. The Sinn is arguably a tougher watch as it is fully tegemented submarine steel instead of titanium and has a much better dive rating (not that I dive). I don't think you can go wrong with an FXD, and like I said, I'll probably grab one on the secondary market one day. |

I was able to purchase my Black Bay for 30% off brand new from the AD. I have a good relationship with the AD and bought a Nomos at full price with it. Their are deals to be had on Tudors and if you catch a AD willing to deal, you might be able to get one at a great price. Paid full price for my father's FXD, but it was the store's first black FXD. If it's not a new Tudor model, I would certainly try to deal with an AD. I would highly recommend a FXD. They wear incredibly well for their size and I love the fixed lugs. I've broke spring bars before. The fixed lugs give you some reassurance. |
