My first Beretta pistol was a 96 Brig Inox (in .40S&W) .  I was shooting it in the local steel challenge type matches with factory WWB ammo.

That would have been about in 2007.

It would eject that .40 brass with gusto.

So much so that the squad of shooters behind me in the “peanut gallery” would always make comments, as they got hit with the brass.

Talk about a grip it and rip it stage.



At some point I bought another 96 Brig Inox.  That was supposed to be my backup gun when I traveled to major USPSA and IDPA matches.  But I never had to use it.

Then I bought a 92 Brig Inox.

And then another.

Completely making the shift to shooting just strictly 9mm for competitions.
