I was recently gifted a 2010 Sub Mariner which is something that's way beyond my reach. I'd like to get a dual auto AC powered winder to keep in the safe. At some point I'd like to get an Omega Seamaster 300 when I can swing it. For a winder I'm lookin at the Versa Elite dual winder. It's priced right but gets mixed reviews. LINK Does anyone have this winder and has it lasted and does it work well? Any recommendations for other moderately priced winders? |

I have Wolf ____ the best of the best I have Mozsly ___ mid grade I have Jqueen ___ the cheapest you can get Wolf is great if you plain to keep it by the bed. They are the quietest And yes they are the best. But I am not sure they are worth what they are asking for them any more Mozsly is what I use. I keep them in the safe and you can power one with another. So when one dies, you can easily replace ( this is the problem with single 2 bank winder. Is when one or two goes out you are stuck ) Also you can expand as your collection grows. You are stuck with just 2 That is why I have several individual winders Jqueen these are Fine. There is a reason they are the cheapest. They are the loudest & lowest quality. But they work. We use them around the shop. We know they are disposable & treat them as such. |

I bought one of these inexpensive ones at Amazon last year when I had 2 automatics: winder Then I bought a second one last month and in the time between purchases they switch from a USB to round lug power cable to USB A to C power cable! So they can't daisy chain. Grrrrrr. Power requirement is the same, so I could probably adapt it. What I'm not certain of is how well they actually keep the watches wound. My Citizen auto has lost about 7 minutes in the few weeks since I put it into the winder. The Steeldive has lost about 30! But both ARE still running. The cheap-ass OLEVS that my wife bought me was NOT running when I just checked it (and the winder is working). I thought maybe it was just lying about being an automatic, but I put in on without winding it and after just a few minutes of normal activity it is already running again. It just seems to be immune to the winder. Any thoughts about why two don't seem to be able to keep accurate and why one doesn't get wound at all? No, I have not checked to see how well the 2 keep time while winding manually and wearing, so they could both just be bad at it. Rob |

I have Wolf which have been flawless. I also have a Rothwell which seems to be excellent quality but I don’t have enough time on it to be sure. I have a Dukwin I’ve been running for a few years but it seems to be inconsistent from winder to winder. I’ve read the belts stretch and cause the inconsistency and I found a source for the replacement belts but I haven’t tried disassembling it and replacing them yet. |
