Someone I know purchased a used CZ pistol from Atlantic and it showed up with a slide release that doesn’t even fit the pistol and is for another model. He contacted them and after going back and forth with someone named Shawn at Atlantic , was told “the pistol was sold in NRA surplus condition “ (no clue what that even means) and they aren’t going to do anything to rectify the issue. He then posted in their industry group here to let others know how they handle CS issues and the thread went unanswered. It is a disgrace for a company to treat customers this way but when you try and hide it by deleting the thread, it makes it worse and shows their character. There are many great company’s out there and those are the ones we as consumers should spend are money with and not the ones that do things like this! |

"Shawn" has not been helpful, to put it mildly. Attached File Attached File This slide release is from a different gun, not for the one we bought that measures 1" in width. I posted it in their industry forum, several members voiced their opinion that it was not correct (I didn't think so, I have a Shadow 2, a wider receiver that also uses the longer slide release that's too long for this old CZ 75), Atlantic Firearms had taken no action, then deleted the thread and swept it under the rug. I didn't tell them we're industry, I didn't ask for special treatment. This is unacceptable to any customer, industry or not. I sent it to my FFL who asked them to send the correct slide release. And just as I suspected, he got the same unhelpful, canned answer from this guy, no offer to send the right part. It's not about the money, it is about unscrupulous companies thinking they can get away with it. This is now in GD where they can't delete it. |

Quoted: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Kn7nCLJPO7k/maxresdefault.jpg I love that the owner of a company that oursources production of some of the most overpriced AR parts on the market is bitching about an incredibly cheap replacement part for a used, military surplus item And has to have their friend/customer/fellow whiner spam posts about it all over too In the time it took to post all these whining threads you could've had the part you need on order I hope you don't ever complain here when something like that happens to you. Your level of CS should have nothing to do with the status of the customer for individual transactions like this. Especially when the customer hasn't done anything wrong beyond trying to get a functional gun.

Quoted: Surplus guns often have mismatched parts. Its always better to buy in person if you can otherwise you run the risk of having a mix master. Could have redused the transfer. This is where a valid argument lies, transfer should have been refused but then Atlantic would have hit him with a 20% restocking fee. Either way he would have been fucked unless he disputed the charge. |

This is about warning others of this behavior, you think it’s the cost of the part that disturbs me, you know as little about what we do as you know my reasons for exposing them. Not that we need to explain the cost of US sourced and made products to folks that don't know manufacturing, wholesale and retail, you have no idea what our margin is, and i don't care to change your mind. For those that care for such things, we spend 3x the cost on simple things as US made screws when foreign screws might do the job, imagine what we spend on everything else. We are an R&D shop that contracts shops in TX, ID, CA and OR to have our designs made, never made a secret of it. I didn’t ask him to post it, you again project, that’s what you would do. They refused to take a return. They handled my Yugo M70AB2 well. Granted as fucked up as those rifles were they should’ve been caught at some point, but they immediately issued an RMA and had the rifle picked up from my FFL within a day or two and my refund processed within an hour of them receiving it back. Then again an entire batch of unsafe AK’s aren’t the same as a used pistol they received from a foreign country with an improper part. |

My favorite is the Highly Regarded posters expecting a white glove customer experience when buying a SURPLUS item from a SURPLUS wholesale btw I've had no trouble with any of my purchases from Atlantic over the years and their presence and responses on this forum and others has been good |

This has nothing to do with FCD and every thing to do with a company with horrible customer service, period. I can already tell that for whatever reason you dislike FCD from your response but they have some of the best customer service in the industry. Enjoy your night and pull the stick out before you can’t remove it! Its amazing how you try to bring awareness of a company not treating customers right and get the keyboard warriors chiming in. |

I noticed in the pictures there weren't ambi slidestops on the CZ85, which I thought was standard on them. Asked Atlantic about it and was told that's how it was. I chose not to purchase. The ambi stops are impossible to find as spare parts. My guess was that somewhere along the way they got stripped off and replaced with whatever was cheapest that more or less worked. |

Quoted: Not the first time I've heard of this kind of thing happening with them, probably won't be the last. I had Atlantic charge me a restocking fee on an item they asked me to cancel because my shipping and billing addresses so not match. I contested the charge and they fought it. They lost. |

I bought a SAR Galil from them. The mag it came with wouldn’t lock in. My other mags including IMI marked ones locked in fine. I sent them an email stating this, and offered to chop up the mag and send pics if they could send another one. This was their reply: Attached File AKs are weird and tolerances are all over the place. No hard feelings over the one that didn't fit and they took care of it 100%. They’ve been nothing but good to me. |

It's most likely Southern Tactical's crap QC/poor workmanship or the Tortort receivers they use being out of spec, or both. ATI Galeos had a similar issue with receivers being out of spec and only able to take Tapco mags. |

Two were IMI marked if I recall correctly. I used to build AKs and I built a SAR Galil back in the day that I regretted selling, that’s why I bought this one. It was for sure the mag here, though I don’t doubt that receiver/trigger guard/mag catch would be the usual suspect. |

Good Lord....! I know all you guys have seen their neat assortment of guns at decent prices over the years, BUT HAVE YOU READ THE FEEDBACKS? I will stay clear of them forever. Feedbacks are on left side of the page; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Atlantic+Firearms/@38.4143782,-75.1676818,14z/data= |

If you stuck that mag in an original preban Israeli-made import or a quality rewelded receiver, it would probably have fit. |

I bought something from them using a temporary CC and then I see a failed charge on that card a month later using my email. Either an employee of theirs is stealing customer credit cards and email info or they've been hacked. I emailed them to tell them and they just never responded. Never will buy from them again. |
