The fact that he had such a hard on for targeting this woman for something as minor as a suspended license says a lot about him. Like she said, she started working and did her best to get the truck registered and insured, that's what really matters. Fixing a suspended license can sometimes be a PITA - Who likes dealing with the court system and the DMV? You can argue don't get suspended in the first place, but shit happens. Impounding the truck and having her lose it thus causing her to lose her job is just cruel.

IIRC, in "Magnum Force", rogue cops were committing extra-judicial executions and Dirty Harry cleaned house on them. IMDB review says the cops were using .357 Magnums, "the most powerful handgun in the world", LOL!

The corrupt cop discussed here should eat a .357.

Low and behold the defense was able to produce a recording of it -- not even remotely slurring.  Strike 1.  Then the cop was asked to demonstrate the FST he used as evidence -- and he fell on the floor of the court room -- not once -- but twice.  Strike 2 and 3.

I was proud to hang that jury.  There were no repercussions for the cop for lying under oath -- I later found out he was a wife beating state cop that was forced to resign and then moved to the local sheriff to continue his shitty behavior.

Moral of the story: there's no punishment for this type of thing and the entire system supports it.

Avoid police at all costs.

There will be a Part 2 video as well, covering the IA interview, etc.

Laux says investigators went too easy on Morphis, never directly asking him if he planted drugs on Prince and never interviewing Prince during the investigation.

Morphis was fired in January 2025 for policy violations related to making inaccurate statements and for not searching Prince before placing her in his patrol car, but his termination letter made no mention of the planted drugs. And the agency flatly denied Prince's allegations in a December 2025 statement to THV11:

The incident at the heart of this story was thoroughly investigated by ASP's Office of Professional Standards. Our agency has been completely transparent about our review process and results. We stand by the decision to terminate this employee, and have taken action to have him decertified because of serious policy violations outlined in his termination letter. The allegations made by Ms. Prince, however, are erroneous and irresponsible. There is zero evidence to support allegations that this Trooper "planted drugs."

Morphis was decertified   meaning he can no longer work in law enforcement in Arkansas   earlier this year.

Prince is now seeking damages for the ordeal, which she said upended her life emotionally and financially. Prince had to pay a $5,000 bond for her release and her truck, a gift from her late father, was impounded. By the time she was released, the impound fees were more than she could afford and she lost the truck.

"In most [suspended license] cases, they issue a citation. They may impound your vehicle, that's typically officer discretion. But I asked him specifically if somebody could come get my truck, because my truck was actually legal," Prince said. "It had tags, it had insurance and I was a quarter of a mile from my house. You could see my driveway, but he would not allow it. He impounded it anyway."

The suit names Morphis as a defendant in his individual capacity, with Hagar and Trooper Marcus Daniels, who handled the internal investigation into Morphis, as additional defendants. The case is expected before Judge D. Price Marshall Jr.

When I was on grand jury we indicted a then Ohio State Trooper with car theft , forgery & insurance fraud. He was arrested , charged and later found guilty in court.

What really amazed everyone on the jury the trooper was called in and asked about the charges , he denied them but given the opportunity to resign his commission / quit and walk away with no charges. He did not take that option and no one reading this would have been given that option.

Turned out a person involved in the car theft and arson got snagged on drug charges later on. He wanted a reduced sentence and gave up the trooper , with really good evidence. The idiot trooper was recorded on prison phone conversation talking about what they did.

Convicted of Racketeering, with much legal wrangling over whether a sole individual can engage in an ongoing criminal enterprise as a sole proprietership. Or does racketeering require multiple conspirators, not just one main actor and a bunch of people duped into helping him?

Anyway, got 12.5 years for a laundry list of crimes surrounding a series of fake drug arrests. The racketeering charge itself was worth 13 years, so they've been fighting over losing that charge and getting a really light sentence.

You're missing the point; where did he get the coke, especially that much, and why did his posession of the coke result in nothing more than a yawn and shrug from his employer and the prosecutor?

I mean, if it was enough to send her to trial, why not the trooper?

They made the following statement to the local CBS station news:

The allegations made by Ms. Prince, however, are erroneous and irresponsible. There is zero evidence to support allegations that this Trooper "planted drugs."
I guess if you watch the video with your eyes closed, you will see zero evidence.

They need a forensic audit of their evidence holdings and records.

I think it's more than just " some ".   While I know there are many good cops on there, and I am not here to disparage any of those people, I do think that it is an occupation that often attracts people who have a hard-on for being in a position of authority and having control over the fate of others, and as a result ends up attracting people who are probably pre-disposed to abusing the system/their position because they are in a position of authority.

Cops get the same base level of respect from me as any other person I've never met before would, no more, and no less.   If I were to get know one personally, that level of respect might increase or decrease based on what I know or find out about them.

My original about him has CRL's video which, as you can see, clearly shows how much he enjoyed his work. Apparently, he was transferred to a facility in HI for some reason. I don't know if it was because they couldn't keep him safe in a FL state resort even in solitary, or if preference was afoot, but I'm not sure how well a haole would fare in a HI state resort.
