There is nothing wrong with building military things...but so many are treating this like it's a bad thing. Is it needed? Maybe, maybe not but with all the things we spend money on in this country I would rather this sniper drone tower arch be built then a new play center for the deranged. |

This is all part of 4D chess to allow us regular Citizens to have hand grenades and other cool stuff. Currently you must have some sort of a bunker to store cool stuff. Also there is a requirement for the property size around it. Now if you put tons of HE in the Arch in the middle of the public place, I'm sure that the Federal Court will declare the above requirements as unconstitutional. See, 4D chess.

I promise you, it is not a shit hole and it attracts quite a few visitors. Every person visiting that hallowed ground will drive by this thing. Personally, I'd rather it not be festooned in gold and triumphal statues and used as a snipers nest. The whole idea of a triumphal arch as the entrance to a graveyard strikes me as odd. If nothing else it'll stick out like a sore thumb against every other washington DC monument, which are all subdued unadorned stone. |

I am fine with the arch as a monument and the attempts to block it are rediculous. With that out of the way this thread proves better than any I have seen in a long time that some people will support Trump no matter how completely deranged his comments and a similar number will criticize him with equal veracity. It was those damn vandals (and definitely not the contractor who admitted to fucking it up) that ruined it. He has also repaired the Kennedy Center to it's original glory and now that repairs are complete and up to snuff, they are considering honoring him in some way for his contributions (that he made out of the kindness of his heart and love for the Kennedy Center). Oh wait, he demanded his name go up there prior to any work being done and now that it has hit a roadblock he's considering demolishing the whole building. Similarly, he's made sure to go through the proper channels for other things like this arch and the ballroom. Of course, by proper channels I mean he is claiming it's a national security matter and because of that, disagreeing with the route he's taking is being anti-American. GD would have lost their collective minds if Obama or Biden was doing the same things.
