| Yes, Arma has always been the holy grail of milsims for me and I will put up with any of the performance issues it does have. I only laugh because it's typical bohemia. I will probly get a series x when my older ps5 shits the bed. If you are on console, a $13 logitech wireless mouse is a must since the inventory management is pretty broken and terrible it seems... still. On dayz, I got super quick and it all made sense, not so with reforger. Also if you are on PS, mods are capped at only 25gb of storage and they show it down to a pretty slow dl speed for some reason. Almost all modern servers utilize RHS mod packs, which total about 7 gigs or so I think, so if you play modern rhs is a keeper. Otherwise since we have such low storage, you can only favorite like 2 or maybe 3 different servers without having to go back and delete shit. Def sucks but that's how it is right now. I've mostly only played pve servers just cause I have friends on these servers and my good friend from high school owns and runs a few(united offensive). But pvp is super fun and not very difficult to get into... NOTHING like hell let loose. I could never find a groove in that game and was worried Arma would be similar, but not at all. People are friendly and use coms, very easy to find a role being combat arms or logistics, whatever... ready or not just released but I'm not even interested... if I really gotta play a cqb game, insurgency is still king. The only other game that seems to maybe be better is squad but I'm a console pleb and will never get into pc. |

I bought it, but only have 18 hours into it. It's fun, for a time. I dislike having to farm points to gain rank in order to buy certain vehicles, that's really annoying. I like to fly helos, and most severs require a certain rank to get them. I wish they would include actual HOTAS support like every other ARMA. In order to use a HOTAS you have to go through a lot of hoops to make it work properly, kinda stupid imo. The game is fun, but its repetitive in nature. With friends it's a good time for short periods of time. A friend and I played for a couple hours max at a time. It has potential, but it's just a test bed for the next ARMA, so I don't expect much. |

Bought this on ps5. Man I have been missing out. BF6 seems more like a grind fest, so this game was a welcome slow down that requires tactics and teamwork. Limited space and server favorites seem to be gating factors. Might buy a new pc some day to truely enjoy this one. Anyone still grinding on this one? |
