I'm seriously looking at an H2D AMS combo. Best Buy has the same price as the Bambu Lab store ($1999.99) & free quick shipping to home (would be here in 3 days). Best Buy offers a 4 year warranty for $179.99 that would cover any damage or failures during use other than accidental damage (i.e. dropping it, dog eats the cord, etc.) for a full 4 years. Bring the machine to a local store (~30 miles from me) for repairs with no charge for parts or labor. If they can't fix it they replace it with the same machine or a full purchase price refund via store card. I don't normally shop at Best Buy, but it would be a reasonable source vis a vi price & shipping. Is the H2D combo a solid enough package that in 99% of all cases such an extended warranty would be a waste of money? |

Way back in the day when the Rock Band video game came out, my brother and I purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy and then beat the shit out of the drum set and returned it at least four or five times for a new one. So the warranty process is (or at least was) pretty solid and painless. Now, is it worth it here? That's up to you but I would vote no. Bambu has a one year warranty already which should take care of any defects out of the box. Looking at their website, the most expensive replacement part is the AP circuit board at $199 followed by the heatbed at $159 and the dual extruder unit at $153. The rest of the parts which probably have a higher likelihood of actually going bad are significantly cheaper. You could do a lot of repairs out of pocket for less than $180, but the chances of needing to in the first place are pretty low. |

I would buy a warranty..... Purchased my second H2D from bh photo with extended warranty in February 2026. 3rd week April, i got a left eddy sensor error and couldn't print from left nozzle. Bambu sent me new eddy sensor after about 10 days. Installed and it did not fix the machine. A few more weeks messaging, bambu sent a complete toolhead with x axis complete. Installed yesterday, it did not fix problem. Bambu wants to keep sending parts, I told them it's about time to send a replacement and so far nothing. I have the warranty through allstate, who says they will step in for replacement/ repair if Bambu won't fix it. Bambu customer service is getting iffy, diy repair shouldn't be the only option. Especially after $700 in parts don't fix it. Luckily my other h2d was bought at bestbuy with total protection. |

You're getting free replacements left and right. 700 in spare parts, free. That's way better than paying for a bit of potential convenience. My H2D has been flawless. As are most of them. There is a reason extended warranties are pushed so hard. They are 90% profit margin. For one party to make bank, it has to.be at the expense of the other party in that transaction. It's just math. |

And its still broken and problem isn't fixed. I'm not bashing bambu, but I do think their customer service is lacking ( throwing parts and guessing the issue is a waste of time and money,) The DIY repair bs is not for everyone. But I have 2 h2d printers, 6 ams 2 pros, and a ams ht . So for this h2d, the extended warranty was a good purchase. ( $149 for 3 years) My other h2d I got from best buy I have the 2 years that's free from my membership. |

78 printing hours on my H2D, less than a month old when I got the left eddy sensor failure message. Messaged Bambu and they said to reseat the connector for the sensor. Took about 30 minutes to get to it and did as they suggested, sensor fine now but I'm ordering a spare. $10 plus shipping is worth the peace of mind having one on hand. I wondered about BB's warranty also but I'd have to load this 65 lb machine into my truck and drive 80 miles to the nearest BB. Then another return trip to pick it up. I have to admit Bambu's wiki on repairs is pretty thorough. |
