I'm on a mission to detail a curriculum for my soon to be eighth grader in Algebra. Any suggestions?

Math background is Singapore and Khan Academy.

Edit:

Did a little research today and I kind of like the Life of Fred course. My oldest is doesn't like math but is a voracious reader. Anyone have any experience with it?

Each child will respond differently to the concepts of Algebra.

Our 3 oldest have all had the areas they excelled in and struggled with.

Let me ask the wife what she used with them.

My wife used Bob Jones, said it was pretty good.

Said Teaching Textbooks was pretty basic.

We used Saxon. One kid mainstreamed into AP Calc in 9th grade; another in 10th and went on to a PhD in mechanical engineering. So they learned the math well, clearly.

It's all part of life's rich pageant.

Another vote for Saxon.

We use it for my highschoolers. I am a chemical engineer and I think Saxon is an excellent curriculum.

Never follow anyone shorter than you; they can walk under things that you can't.

This thread is a good reminder why homeschooling is so awesome.

It is not a one size fits all situation, there are many answers to the same question, everyone is different and what may work for one person won't work for another.
