The article is a bit odd. It states the news caused gold to rise to $2700/oz.

A giant new find should lower the cost of gold.

Gold is about $4600/oz right now.

I don’t believe any claims that come out of China about anything until there’s evidence to back it up. Everything is propaganda for one purpose or another.
