| First of all, I mean no disrespect or anything negative. I wasn't raised Catholic or Lutheran. I've seen some postings for "ordinary time" and it got me thinking. What does the term mean by "ordinary time"? Is there different "time"? Does it refer to a season or month of the calendar? |

We are currently in the second span of Ordinary Time as denoted by the color green. The first Sunday of December (I think) marks the beginning of Advent. It should also be noted that there is a three-year cycle of Scripture readings. Advent will mark the end of the first year and the start of the second. |
