Fabricated and welded up some headlight buckets and an upper radiator support that bolts to the frame rail to replace all the messed up crap I chopped off. Need to clean up a little but Ill do all that later when I pull the motor and repaint the engine bay. Also cut out the fiberglass drag spoiler I made. Didn't feel like it today but will carbon fiber that probably when I do the roof skin. Also probably going to make a carbon fiber hood skin from my ducted hood and swap out the steel for it. Lots of stuff to do.     |

Got my buckets in. Fit perfect. Tons of room for the hood duct. Should have brought my radiator in before making upper support though. Gonna have to modify it a little. I guessed and guessed wrong needs to be about an inch wider. Bringing a welder home this week and I'll probably be flying on getting the fender flares and some rust repair done. Needs new metal on bottom of rockers and a hole in the floor patched. And probably going to weld in a large bar lower radiator support. Maybe weld in some apron reinforcements and make some custom strut brace bars Once all the metal work is done and I install some suspension parts and put the new brake rotors and calipers and wheel bearings on I'll pull the motor and take this bitch to work to finish up the bodywork and paint it.  |

Got everything in place where I want it gotta fabricate the lower support and make some brackets to secure it all. Will probably close off the side ducts on the bumper to reduce drag maybe put some foglights in there since the OEM corner lights are gone . Once everything is welded up and secure I can start making the duct for the radiator and start welding up the fender flares and doing other body metalwork. Might pull the motor and take that to work to rebuild it so the mechanic can help me if I need it. Gotta make a good fan shroud as well got some chunky high performance spal fans    |

Got a big ass rear wing. Gotta figure out how to mount it sturdy enough. Should push around 100 lbs downforce at 80mph . Ight be able to get it up to 130 or so if I can fabricate a good spoiler off the back of.the hatch to keep the airflow attached to the foil at a fairly high angle of attack. Kinda how the WRC dual element hatch wings work. Hoping a long slope rear diffuser and flat floor will add another 100 or so right around the axle and front splitter aero to push around 50 on the front. Hoping to have a good balance between 50-100mph and minimize lift. Had to paint a mustang at work last Saturday so took a break but will probably get something done this Saturday. Either make some spoiler mounts or make my carbon fiber roof skin. We'll see which way the ADHD leads me. Musting pics because look at it..     |

Well the wing I bought was crooked. Didn't look close enough at it when I picked it up on marketplace. Tried to straighten it but running it over with a truck and broke it lol. So I made my own spoiler. Should be just as effective if I did the math right. Need to make some support brackets to attach some me rods and back of spoiler for some extra strength at higher speed. Also made my carbon fiber roof skin. Will sand it flat and clear coat the resin sometime next week then hopefully it fits well.    |

Also I decided to run a rear radiator instead of rear turbo. Easier to run some 16an lines and a helper pump than running exhaust and intake piping front to back. Will duct from the quarter glass and exit out the back like this guy did should be pretty simple build and itll give me room for a larger intercooler and a/c condenser in front  |

Had a couple hours to kill some went into the shop and made a fan shroud for my radiator. Need to weld up the corners and make some mounting tabs but the shrouds for these are a couple hundred bucks. Fuck that. Ten dollar piece of aluminum gets it done

Had today off so mounted my spoiler and brackets. Waiting on Amazon for my support rods. Will paint that later with the car. Also fixed the rear body that was smashed in chopped out some rust to patch up in the lower rear body corners. Need to make a rear reinforcement bar since OEM was bent to shit mocked everything up to make sure the back end was straight. Gonnaa be prettyuch doing a lot of welding for a couple weeks then pull the motor and start working on getting it running so I can take it to work to build a roll cage and make it look pretty.    |

More stuff done today. Chopped out rear enforcement so it doesn't block the rear radiator flow. Replaced the center section with steel bar . Made front lower support for intercooler and AC condenser. Made radiator mount box for rear setup. Made carbon fiber front cover panel for the six inch ducts to feed into the sealed radiator system. Need to trim that and make mounts still once it cures and I can take out of mold. Made quarter panel aluminum windows to feed the radiator. Waiting on my cousin to 3d print some custom naca ducts with a scoop and a six inch tube outlet to feed the radiator box . Once those are done I'll install it windows and put on the car after I paint all that stuff hotrod black. Then cut a hole in the rear body/do not r and weld in this contraption. Made it a little bigger in case I want to use a larger radiator later if I get power hungry and turn the boost up to silly levels.        |

| Since this system is going to probably require my to cut the bottom half of my bumper off for the exit duct since the rear diffuser will be under it, I think I'm gonna do some 90s style. When I replace that lower rear hatch glass with poly I may French the license plate in there. Might as well. |

Just gotta make some mounts for the fan shroud and the carbon fiber intake housing and this is ready to install. Got the windows painted and drilled just waiting for my cousin to get me my 3d printed intake scoops. Also I think I have a weekend paintjob side job lined up that will fund prettyuch the rest of this build. Motor rebuild, turbo, ECU, wiring harness and other bits I need to get this things done. Hopefully that comes through. Not sure what I'm gonna do this Saturday other than make mounts. Might sand down and clearcoat my carbon fiber roof so that's ready to go. Maybe pull the quarter glass and put some rivnuts in for the aluminum windows. We'll see .     |

Picked up some BMW m5 sideskirts on marketplace this morning. Might as well since I got a bmw front bumper. The drop measurement is perfect for this and the bodyline will look good. Lots of chopping though. These are about as long as the whole crx lol Will probably fuse the front part to the OEM crx side molding will be lit the penned out red part.  Should work out perfect since they narrow a bit towards the front since this car will probably be setup with a little bit of forward rake |

Got a lot done on the crx today. Hard to tell but I welded the whole front end , upper and lower core supports, light buckets, brackets and hood pins. Got some brackets made and mounted up my cutout fenders drilled out a ton of rusty welded in nuts and put in m6 rivnuts. Only think left on the front end is to install the latches for the hood pins and some brackets for some quick release push pins on the bumper. Will probably make some multipoint strut braces for the front and rear as well. I think next weekend I should be able to get the rusty rockers cutout and new ones welded in and maybe get my rear radiator box welded in the rear. After that I just gotta weld in the wide fender flares and all the metal fabrication is done for this car other than the roll cage stuff but I'll do that at work later where I have pipe benders. Tons of room up there for turbo, big intercooler and an ac condenser . Going to use an elect if pump though.    |

Forgot to update. Put in some hood latches with reinforced steel stands so my hood can't fly up. Also make some.brackets and bumper stays for push pin release front bumper. I'm the process had to weld in some new steel on the front apron corner . Shit was too bendy from previous accident damage will clean up the lines on that later. Also made steel lower brackets for headlights. The ln decided I didn't like the way the aftermarket headlights fit. So now I'm buying a 3d printer so can make my own headlight housing that will fit perfect and dropping some projectors in it or something. Can use that to make some interior pieces like AC vents as well. Also drilled and put rivnuts in my roof for.the carbon fiber cover. Waiting on a weather strip still to install. And my cousin printed my quarter window vents. Will probably skin those with fiberglass or carbon fiber to make them stronger. Next weekend I'll chop out the rockers and weld in new ones probably     |

Didn't get a lot done last weekend just pulled the motor and tore it down as well as the spare motor I had. Then I saw a good deal on marketplace on a b20z2 this morning so I bought it now I'm selling the d16s and doing a b 20 turbo swap. Lol. I know people think you can't boost the b20 but that's a myth. You can boost them to 300 on stock internals without a lot of worry. Crv guys been doing it forever. Detonation and heat is what cracks the cylinders on them since they are thinner than the b18. Since I'm running rear radiator I'll be able to run a big ducted intercooler and oil cooler in the front with good fans and with the big hood exit heat won't be an issue at all. And we have really good tuners we use at the shop so detonation won't be an issue . Also I'm going to run it conservatively at 225-250 which is more than enough for a little crx. Also got a p28 ECU with snake emu for free from someone I did a favor for a while back so that's neat. Gotta do some other things the next couple weekends then I'll get back to finishing the metal work. Might paint the engine bay at home since it will be empty for a while till I can gather all the parts for the swap and rebuild the b20   |

Been busy with family stuff the last few weekends and it's getting hot so I'll probably be up at my cabin every other weekend so things will slow down a bit for the summer. Trying to line up a few side jobs because I need many thousand dollars to finish this thing to the level I want. Go fast stuff is expensive as fuck. Until then I'll probably just plug away at body work stuff here and there but probably not many long days when it's over 100 degrees in my garage. Even at night . Got a couple hundred hours more body stuff to do but hoping I'll have it done by end of next winter. Kinda just depends on how much side work I can line up . Painting our mechanics car in a couple weeks so I can make him rebuild my b20 for free and install and wire it once the car is ready for that. I have three potential side jobs lined up for the summer that should get me around 5-7k. Which is about what I need for all the parts and things I want to buy. |

Update picking this up in a week or so once i get the other donor out of the shop. Full nasa cage I'll have to chop up a bit to fit in the crx but it'll save me a ton of time vs building one. Also has a b swap harness and gsr brakes and stainless lines i can use for upgrades. Have two side jobs lined up for next month to pay for my digidizzy and a VTEC head and some hasport mounts. Once o selly d series stuff i can get the polycarbonate windows Then it's just hours of labor to finish the car. I'll probably bring it to work once i get all the parts removed from this hatch. I'll be more motivated to finish it there .   |
