| My daughter has been missing a lot of school for legit reasons, she has no unexcused absences, she made the honor roll last quarter and is on track to do so again this quarter. We've followed the rules regarding absences, but due to the number of them the school is acting like our child belongs to them. So now she's going to be absent the rest of the year. Being this is our first time home schooling, we don't feel comfortable creating our own curriculum yet, although that is an option. So what are some recommendations for a good neutral curriculum, not progressive, not religious, just the facts? |

Ask around if any teachers or retired teachers tutor kids on the side. Teach all the things public school misses. Basic math , ( making change ) , English grammar, etc basic physics … See if local community colleges offer any useful classes. Ask around about who is already doing this. |

| We purchased our (christian based) curriculum online, even though our kids go to a private school. The school uses a damn computer program for everything and my girls just were not getting it. We switched to a more traditional type of teaching and poof, problem solved |
