Attached File damn you guys made me hustle for this one! How about your bike and one of those retail resale outlet/stores? ETA - to clarify, I was sitting on a road on the edge of town, debating if a could obscured sunset counts or not. Reloaded the page and saw the fancy sunset picture WITH the sun visible and the next target had been posted, lol! Saw the next target and thought. The weather was too nice today and I only work until 1330 on Fridays, so took a ride out to Port Gamble and discovered Big Valley Road - great road for a summer afternoon. This whole town is a landmark. I also found that the VA Dept of Historic Records website is lacking a photo of its highway marker for the town, so I'm going to get a photo of that some other time so they have that for their website. From Google Earth  Amos and Mary Janney, Quakers from Bucks County, PA, settled here ca. 1733. Others soon followed, forming a manufacturing and commercial center that served the surrounding farmland. By mid-century the village was known as Janney's Mill after its most important enterprise; it was renamed Waterford about 1780. By 1830, free African Americans headed a quarter of Waterford’s households. During the Civil War, most residents opposed slavery and supported the Union. From the 1930s, local property owners—and the Waterford Foundation they established in 1943—have worked to preserve the 18th- and 19th-century village and its rural setting. The area became a National Historic Landmark district in 1970. Next target: Your bike and a large mobile crane. |

 This is DDG-127. Named for Lance Corporal Patrick Gallagher (1944–1967), an Irish-born Marine who earned the Navy Cross during the Vietnam War. Under construction at the Bath Iron Works. I'll be in ME for a few weeks. Next: your bike and a roadside fresh seafood sales truck/tent. I parked on a sidewalk.
