Posting here first. The economy is a Carter-like shitshow. I was taught in political science courses that Americans traditionally “vote their pocketbooks”, e.g. vote for someone new if the economy suffers under the current politicians. All of the House and 1/3 of the Senate and most State legislatures are up for grabs. We need to be supporting and organizing and ensuring that only the truly pro gun candidates are getting our time and money. This is an opportunity to keep what we have and roll back bad laws. I would like an end to the banning homemade guns crap, defund ATF and punish them for their illegal registration of guns, take suppressors and SBRs off the NFA. (I would actually like to end all gun laws entirely as illegal infringement and make private sale universally lawful again…) Practical suggestions, please. |

Not happening unless the Democratic Party at large has a reason to shift away from relying on anti-2A rhetoric as a key talking point. Only way that's going to happen is if there's enough inertia behind growth of left-leaning pro-gun organizations that they're a meaningful voting block (The Liberal Gun Club, orgs representing minority groups typically associated with Democrats like NAAGA and AAPIGO, etc). Where's the cross-aisle outreach? |
