The kids wanted some crocs and Siraya Roamr 85 seems to be the new hotness in TPU with hardness variable by nozzle temp. I adjusted all the print settings, 255 degrees, slow speeds, slow acceleration, .5 retraction and a few others. The only thing I forgot to do was drop the flow rate to .6. I used 10% gyroid infill. The exterior came out pretty perfect, a slight flat finish with nice texture. The issue is the interior of the show has tons of stringing, it almost looks like giant velcro loops big enough to pass a pea through. The filament was dried straight out of the bag for 5hr at 55c, stored and printed from drybox at 10% humidity and printed through Teflon tube. So I'm assuming it's good. I didn't make any wipe adjustments or Z hop that Siraya recommends for TPU (in general, not necessarily specific to Roamr). I think I'll lower the temp maybe 10degree to firm them up a bit and increase infill to 15% as they are super spongy, like literally sponge soft. I'll let everyone know how the second shoe comes out. Maybe I'll also try regular TPU it seems to be less sensitive |

Also, it sticks VERY well to PEI plate, I cut the bottom of the heel of accidentally until I recalled dripping some alcohol around the edges then it peels off. Has anyone else made shoes, if so what filament and settings, and how'd they turn out? This filament is very soft and stretchy (maybe the all are?) and seemed to drag through the tubing, I'm surprised it worked but it did, |

OP.....Siraya has downloadable print files for different printers / filaments. I started with their profiles for the TPU Air and made a few tweeks. https://siraya.tech/pages/print-settings-download I wasn't doing anything near as complicated as a shoe though.....I made some 65A inserts for a car console I designed and inserts for this iPad stand.  Also made some little wheel chocks to keep my grandsons toy from rolling away from him when he'd try to stand up.  One of the things I really like about the TPU Air vs regular TPU is how grippy it is on surfaces vs how slick TPU is. |
