So I've been in K1500s for the past 20 years or more and I thought I'd do a Yota just for change of pace. Pricewise not a great time to jump into a Toyota project but hey can't take it with you. Not gonna lie, this thread sent me straight to fb marketplace. And then I closed the tab because I’m about to put a down payment on a house and I don’t need this kind of evil in my life. Shame on you OP. (Please post more pics. I’ll likely buy a 89-95 or a 1st gen tacoma later this year) |
The hardest part about a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.
| So you’re just going to return it to stock with some slightly bigger tires than stock? The flatbed looked weird if you want it to be a stock truck. It would be really easy to load with a fork lift if you kept it. Good job on the restoration project. Hopefully it’s a 22RE and not the 3.0. Otherwise prepare for head gaskets. |

Yes it is the 22RE but my original plan was to swap it for a 3.4 and was one reason I went with the 1” body lift. However since Xiden has decided to launch us into WW3 and fuel prices have skyrocketed that is kinda off the table for the foreseeable future. |

Well did a lots basic maintenance and repair next. Drained and refilled the front and rear differentials, same on the transmission and transfer case. Replaced ujoints in the rear driveshaft as well. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |
