Kids course will have obstacles similar to the adult course but scaled down. Peeps and gun field strip will be the same (possibly reduced number of peeps but maybe not). Run. Course of fire will be .22 rifle at reduced distances and with a strong emphasis on safety. No movement with guns and there will be thorough ROing by experienced ROs that are also accustomed to working with kids. ROs will assist the kids with gun admin tasks (loading, clearing, malf clearance, etc) as needed. There will be a range rifle provided but kids are welcome to bring their own rifle and use it. Chug 2 cans if under 10, 3 cans 10 and older. The age difference always stacks the odds in the favor of the older kids so the modified chug helps even it up a bit. I’d encourage any kids present to run and I can almost guarantee they’ll have a blast. There should be a generous prize table, too. I would ask that kids have at least a baseline of gun experience so that they’re aware of basic gun handling and safety practices. Kids who aren’t comfortable with shooting can still run the course and have fun but their time won’t count. Edited to reflect .22 rifle only. No pistol. |

My youngest does regular 2gun - is he good to bring his normal rig? S&W ar15-22 and a g19 clone. |
