Each would have to be charged and tried individually. Assume Trump is impeached and convicted - forcibly removed from office. Pence will appoint a new VP immediately (no Senate confirmation required). Impeach Pence, the new VP becomes POTUS. Rinse and repeat. Again, there is no legal way for a Democrat to assume the Oval Office before January 2021 that doesn't involve the simultaneous accidental deaths of both POTUS and VP. |
| All of you guys are correct, there is no legal justification for impeachment. However, to liberals, laws do not matter. They hate Trump -- and they have one goal. Hell, this whole investigation is the fruit of that. There was NEVER any legal justification to create a 4th branch of government to oversee Trump with the Mueller investigation. This is where the ends justify the means. I do think (and hope) that impeachment will be that line where Americans revolt. I'd like to think that they will realize there is no way to remove him without a heavy, heavy price to pay. |
