And of course, it's difficult to imagine a Republican White House willing to send in Federal LE, or the Army into NYS, Albany, and NYC over them flouting NYSRPA v. Bruen. And even if we posit the most rabidly RKBA POTUS imaginable, and they appointed a like-minded RKBA & Constituional zealot to the top of every Fed agency, and the Senate miraculously confirmed them all... it's reasonable to assume all the unappointed lifers in the DOJ, the FBI, and/or US Marshalls etc. would deliberately slow-roll any enforcement, if only out of FUD. And then there'll be those willing to perform actual willful resistance and sabotage. Then the Army? What if the DoD refuses orders of the CiC? Total shit-show. That's a big step down into third world coup d'état/banana republic territory. And one that got added to the pile already building up from NY defying the SCOTUS in the first place. And of course, even if the orders from the POTUS were followed well, the riots, bricks, and Molotov cocktails against the "invasion" by Antifa, BLM, the pink pussy hats, you name it, would be epic. It could exceed what we've seen the past three years, the '68 Chicago DNC convention riot, and Rodney King/L.A. '92 combined. Keep in kind that his would all happen with a backdrop where the Left and MSM is going absolutely bug-fuck insane. Take whatever level of crazy you think best represents peak TDS, and multiply that times ten. Their sudden and newfound appreciation of "States Rights" will make the Confederacy look like amateurs. Can the SCOTUS or lower Appeal and Circuit Fed courts levy fines or something? Yes they can. And after the months and years of injunctions, appeals, and stays run out, NY will ultimately refuse to pay them. Pretty sure the DOJ actually has to do the actual paperwork and whatnot to deduct it from various NY bank accounts. So again, we've got the lifer bureaucrats dragging their feet, if not outright refusing to do it, or otherwise sabotaging the process. Congress, the House specifically, could vote to deduct those fines from whatever Federal money NY gets, or to withhold all of it entirely as punishment. Of course that would imply that the GOP not only has a simple majority of 218+ seats that year, but that their majority is so big, that there's at least 218 of them with the big brass balls actually willing to do it, and it's critical the Speaker isn't a spineless RINO swamp creature too. |

There is a second option. That NY, CA, and other states are slowly and begrudgingly brought to heel over the next few years as the secondary lawsuits wind their way through the Fed Circuit and Apoeals. Getting D.C. v. Heller enforced on Chicago took another two years before Macdonald v. Chicago made them give in, as SCOTUS decided that Heller and 2A was indeed incorporated under the 14th, Due Process, and enforceable against states and municipalities. Of course, that all was before '16 and the Left got sucker-punched and a big bloody nose the night of November 8th. All because they let their collective guard down. So much so, they were actually willing to run with Hillary... Presumably they thought everyone in red states had magically died, been raptured, or abducted by aliens... whatever, after eight years of Obama. Now the Left is out for blood in retaliation over it. And they've always been more in line with an unquestioning "The ends justify the means."-mentality to begin with. So yeah, if repeated losses in Fed Court don't eventually grind NY, CA, and those other states down. And because they capitulate as they only really oppose RKBA as a tit-for-tat in the culture war, and it's not really some life or death policy issue, I guess it's Minecraft. (I also wonder who holds infanticide so dear that they may decide to play Minecraft too...) Or, the thought of death, prison, lost jobs, their mortgage, and the inevitable "you first" conundrum prevents any kind of real momentum forming in these states. Dunno. We'll see. |

Only thing that makes sense. It also makes us with strong convictions seem like a minority. I am thankful we have laws, I am also glad that a mass majority of Americans have the same view. While we will all not 100% agree with every law, we can see the reason to compromise. In being raised to obey the law, and dont be a drain on society, It made me very much appreciate our Constitution. I will NOT bend on these LAWS being broken by myself, I also expect the same from any .gov body. There are things I do not agree with in COTUS/ BOR, but I will happily abide. I am pretty sure this is called integrity and I am glad I have it. I will die knowing I have made the very best decisions to be remembered as a stand up guy. We are in the minority.
