She's a cadet, right? She's still got baby fat on her. She's still got a decade or two before she becomes a salty Naval officer. I thought the real miscasting was James Kirk. Everyone else seems perfectly cast (except Rodriguez) but this Kirk seemed too scrawny with no real command presence. Maybe I'm just too used to Shatner and Chris Pine? |

I was very pleasantly surprised. The whole season was a lot of fun. Nothing Star Trek has been much fun in a long time. Discovery is the TV equivalent of being a cutter. I didn't mind the tranny bad guy (girl? I'm genuinely confused). The show didn't reference it at all--I had to wait for facebook diatribes before I knew it was a tranny. The only potentially gay character is the helmsman who is straight in real life. I have no doubt there will be woke stuff in this show as it goes on, but it really seems like the studio finally listened to the real trekkies and are at least trying to produce an enjoyable show. It's still preachy, but Star Trek has always been preachy. I even like the new Enterprise. |

This guy's accent was so bad I had to turn on subtitles. Basically anything that wasn't a man or male or other than minority was BAD per this South African sounding dipshit. Don't listen to this, SNW is the least woke ST in a long time. Just watch it. |
