| It sounds pretty reasonable, its really not incest since there is no biological relation, and your bro obviously wants to leave a genetic legacy. I think it depends on how old your son is and he feels about this. I wouldn't want the kid to feel pressured into doing anything he isn't comfortable doing. |

If he can still 'do the deed' as was said in the OP, then why can't a doc go in and get sperm? And if that's not an option, why not get sperm from the other family members with vasectomies by going in the way they do these days?
It's creepy and awkward. I'd say no and feel really bad about it. |

Intuitively, this strikes me as a horrible idea. I can't really articulate why, but pretty much every gut instinct I have is saying "Fuck no". Borderline incest fetish creeps! I bet some of you want to fuck your step sister to! |

You know, they're gonna pay thousands to get it done at a clinic. Jerk in a cup, then some doc turkey basters it up in there.
The whole thing can be done for free at home or a cheap motel room, probably has a higher success rate too. And if your son is 17 or 18, he's probably banging random chicks anyway or jerkin so much, you might as well buy stock in hand lotion and tissues. Get some cardboard and go at it glory hole style if nothing else. |

You should have concerns about the potential legal issues. No contract the parents sign can completely protect your son from potential child support. Doesn't take a lot of googling to find nightmare outcomes for non anonymous sperm donors. |

Ummm.... What happens if the wife splits?? The BIL dies.....
Certain divorced women become vindictive and well scorched earth and all... With the way the court systems are.... you son may be saddled with Child support. If it were me..... HELL NO!!! And no I am not some bitter divorcee that has been hit with CS, just too many variables etc.... I would not say hell no just... Sorry my son is to young to fully comprehend the outcomes of these decisions. Even if he were 16,17yo. If he is over 18 I would advise my son of the outcomes and then tell them very sternly but friendly that I do not support this, and to please mind my wishes and the future of a young adult. If they pressured him into it, I would cut off all contact and treat them like they were dead. Their little petty I want my own kid bull shit can possibly ruin your sons life. |

for what it’s worth, if you son is an adult, it’s his descision. You can advise him, but your going to probably want to tell him. Why? Because if you tell him and talk openly, you MAY have a chance at having your conserns heard and heeded. Considering his connection to the BIL, if you hide this from him, he will find out eventually, and then your going to be SOL. He will feel betrayed by you and will definately not listen to a dam thing you have to say. Get out out in front of this OP. DONT cover it up. |
| It's probably a really bad idea. If they're good people I wouldn't have a problem with the people issues. I think it would be a really hard thing to ask someone to help you with that. My issue is with the legal system and child support. That is something that could screw up your life 15 years down the road where the come after you for 15 years of back child support. |
|
My advice would be that you son shouldn't even consider it unless he's already a father. At least then he'll be able to fully appreciate the full gravity of this arrangement since his uncle is basically going to be raising his biological child.
I could not appreciate the connection I would have with my biological kids until I had them. Prior to having kids it would have been more like "skeet skeet, here ya go, have fun being parents". All the above aside, I'm also a fan of keeping drama out of my life and this type of scenario has big potential for drama. I don't know how old your son is but odds are good he doesn't need complication in his life. |

NNNNOOOOPPPPE.
Dancing a bit close to inbreeding/incest/cousin fucking type of thing. Even if the genetics came up good there is still further down the line ramifications that might arise. Even bringing it up and asking him is a metric fuckload of mental fuckery that no kid needs, hell even some men might have issues with it down the line. Outside of all the legal hell that could be brought up it is a Doom of Damocles of sorts hanging over the child, the parents and the donor. Just to much fuckery without the fucking. |
| Lots of kids out there that are hated by everyone that brought them into the world. I would try the adoption angle first. It’s not about what a parent wants it’s about what love they can show a child that NEEDS it. Try to convince him to look into adoption first. I know the whole wanting blood thing....but it would never be “not weird”. |
