I would have guessed that someone would have grabbed a young German Shepherd immediately. The last two Semper Fi Rescue dogs currently available. Someone must want one of them in their life. I have two now, and they're both amazing. |

| Is this GSD Trooper the same one Joker had several years ago? I don't think so since the rough ages don't match. Joker had shown one rescue in his pictures back then (I had remarked at what a beautiful dog), but he was not up for adoption then since he had bad separation anxiety. |

I'm in the process of trying to get Cash. Jordan and I are trying to figure out transport as neither my wife or I can swing a 16hr round trip within the next work or two. Jordan's trying to see if she can arrange some transport to a half-ish way point which we could manage this week. |

Assuming Cash is still in the Pendleton County area I could do the first leg for 2-4 hours on Saturday. |

We're on the North East side of Richmond. I think Jordan's niece is "volunteering" to drive a 4 hour leg on Friday. Assuming my wife's able to take a personal day, it looks like they're going to meet up somewhere in WV. If the personal day falls through (short notice), I'm not sure... |

No clue why that fell through for him, but from following a little dog rescue stuff it seems people pretty frequently say they'll take a dog and then back out before actually going through with it. He was with 20-something other dogs all running around happy when I met him, so he's fine with other dogs. I can't see needing to separate him unless your shepherd has some social issues. (Not judging on that one - one of my rescue shepherds is kind of broken in the head and introductions with new dogs takes a lot of work). I'm so glad you're taking him though. Both of the dogs I have from Mark are amazing and sweet. You're getting a great dog, and I think he's going to make you really happy. |

Nothing abnormal, just a lot of energy and I realize some dogs don't do well when thrown in to that quickly. |

I don't know if you've done the rescue dog thing before, but if not it can take them a couple of weeks to settle in and relax before you see their real personality. I'm just about a week in to having Rocky home, and he's starting to get playful now. My broken in the head rescue pretty much stayed in his crate for the first week he was home. I even had to feed him in there. Now he's a nut. ?? Full of love, but I swear he's not all there. My first Semper Fi rescue (Sabrina) really helped him a lot. She taught him how to play and how to be more of a normal dog. Rocky isn't sure what to make of him yet. |
