Anyone have a non-upgraded gun and want to take a few whacks at it with a mallet? ![]() Kharn That striker.... That's just comical. |

Quoted: Glocks were already in the supply chain, yet millions had to be spent to "test" and then buy these dogshit designs (remember the rifles that aren't worth a damn too). People made things happen for a reason, period. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Bruh, the m17s and m18s are going off too. The way that contract was “won” is suspect more and more everyday, someone needs to go to jail over it This. And not just because I prefer Glocks, but the absolute nonsense of the "trials" in the first place. The military spent decades and millions of $$$.......and wound up with a pistol that had problems from the outset. Mark Milley was spot on. Glocks were already in the supply chain, yet millions had to be spent to "test" and then buy these dogshit designs (remember the rifles that aren't worth a damn too). People made things happen for a reason, period. I don't think it works quite the way your post implies. Glocks were already in the supply chain, but they were there for non-standard use. I'm pretty sure choosing anything other than a M9 variant would have required some form of trial. I don't think Glock would have had an exception just because SOCOM was playing with them already. |

Quoted: Yup, call it P32022…..that’s what you would have. It’s too bad they didn’t push the 2022 more…. Quoted: Quoted: You know what would be better? Putting a damn hammer back in the thing. The P226 has a better trigger than the P320 ever can, and it is as safe a firearm as has ever been made. Yup, call it P32022…..that’s what you would have. It’s too bad they didn’t push the 2022 more…. In an interesting alternate timeline the P2022 gets a makeover similar to what the Ruger RXM is to the Glock 19 and is rebadged as something like “P247” and is a cool pistol everyone adores as being a modern and economical offspring of an already cherished heritage of pistols from SIG. Instead we get this ugly pile of shitty Indian MIM that shoots your nuts off. |

It absolutely doesn't, wasn't trying to imply that it did...just that the process is 110% retarded. |

Quoted: Yea it's pretty bad. SIG should just pull the P320 off the market. That would bankrupt them, wouldn't it? Sig is one of the largest firearms manufactures in the world, but buying back over 1 million 320's (a milestone set in 2020) would be expensive, although the right thing to do. My calculation is 1,100,000 at $400 a piece =$440,000,000. |

Even selling it as an affordable upgrade would be a better option. Right now it seems to be getting worse. Does the manual thumb safety on the military M17/M18 help in anyway? They should bring back the SP2022. |

Quoted: The sp2022 was and is a great choice of a hammer fired 9mm that was reliable and safe to carry. It was simple and not flashy. It's a representative of sig at a time before its current leadership. Great? lol...no. That gun had horrible ergonomics with a staple gun like trigger. Ive handled and shot a few over the years and never saw the appeal |

Quoted: You just described every striker fired pistol trigger ever made! The SP2022 trigger is no classic Sig trigger, it certainly isn't close to a striker fired trigger.... Ive handled and shot a few over the years and never saw the appeal I guess we disagree then. The sp2022 has a trigger about like the beretta 92, both of which I have shot very well. I would use the sp2022 over the 320 at the current time. |

IF 320 slides could be converted to 250 spec w/ a little machining, then they could convert the entire fleet to the 250. I think the 250 FCU chassis is the same as the 320 - even if not, it's a cheap piece of stamped steel. Making a million 250 slides from scratch might beyond their financials. |

From the other thread: Quoted: Bussiere is a four star general, and there are over 30,000 personnel under his command. Installations/AFBs include Barksdale in LA, Minot in ND, Dyess in TX, Ellsworth in SD, Whiteman in MO, Offut in NE, Warren in WY, Malmstrom in MT, Kirtland in NM, and Vandenburg in CA. This is a HUGE scope. |

I find it all so tiresome that when I stopped in the Savannah PSA store last week, they had this whole little area dedicated to SIG stuff. I didn’t even bother even to so much as walk through it. Between all the controversy with the new military rifle. Every contract under the sun. The M18 and its magical ability to not have to finish testing requirements. The constant issues with the 320 and the M18. I see SIG and I just walk on by. I have no doubt they have quality out there but I’m not taking any chances because it’s obvious they would rather gaslight their customers than to acknowledge an issue. It ended with me the day “it ended” |

Just a rumor as I post this, but there is an Airman dead: https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/Sig-M18-might-have-just-killed-an-Airman/5-2805777/ Why does it almost always take deaths to make the military change? None of the senior leaders in the services and no one on the service staffs have seen the FBI report? I'm writing my congressmen. We are just letting our young men die and get maimed over some cheap piece of shit pistol? What a fucking disgrace. |
The striker or the striker safety "block"?

holy shit
