Do you have a Roku or Apple TV that works fine? Can you get/borrow one to test? If those work fine then you may be on the right track

I don't know anyone who has that.

The movies I have watched on amazon prime seem to work fine. If that helps.

So your amazon fire tv box doesn't seem to work and is connected to your wifi. It everything else works. Yes?

Fire box it hardwired to the router that is hardwired to the modem. It lags when I stream while watching TV. It seems to do okay watching movies.
No change if I wire it directly to the modem.

It is possible one of the cables is bad. That can cause intermittent issues. When watching tv shows vs movies, do you download the movies first vs straight streaming the tv Shows?

Stream. I could try another cable from the router to the AFB.

Absolutely. That's he cheapest and easiest troubleshooting step next. You could also plug in a lap top to its cable and see if it suffers the same issues. Since everything else works, the cable or the box is suspect, though it is also possible there is a hardware issue in physical connection in the router.

Eta:That said I think you said you went directly into the modem and had the same problem? Probably not the router if that's the case

We do however know that network protocol is working correctly as your router seems to be assigning ip's  and routing data correctly to everything else. Almost certainly down to a hardware issue of some type

I'm kinda wondering if this may be a streaming issue causes by Peering troubles?   Seems some streaming works while others do not.   This may not be on your end but on your ISP or further down the line.   Or even certain providers(sending the streaming signal to you).    This gets kinda complex and if so nothing you can do can help except let your ISP know.
