As a member of the GSD master race, all I can say is that most pibbles I've met in real life are just fine, and almost every mauling story I've ever seen has been pitbulls. Maybe owners of violent dogs should be charged as though they themselves committed whatever act their dog did? |

I’ve been attacked by pits several times, both personally and professionally. I don’t like carrying a firearm while I’m running but my Zero Tolerance is a very robust knife. If there’s more than two, and you don’t have a gun, you better figure something out. Also, in before the “these poor puppies were abused by their owners” guy. |

Prayers she makes a full recover. There was a pack of 3 that roamed down the rural dirt road I previously lived off of, belonged to some meth trailer trash about 1/2 mile away. I guess someone didn't care for their aggressive and threatening behavior after a few instances with several neighbors and someone poisoned the shit out of them. Methy guy flagged down one neighbor, crying that all three of his dogs were dead under his trailer, said he was gonna kill someone, never really heard anything else about it since he damn sure wasn't calling the deputies out to his meth trailer (he was a frequent flyer, they wouldn't have cared much to do anything). |

This is the latest from her mother... I was trying to wait until I saw her again to update but it’s getting late and I don’t know when I’ll get to go back in. First of all, thank you all so much for the outpouring of prayers and help and kindness. For those if you who don’t know, Tess Lancaster was attacked by 5 pit bulls while running for exercise in our neighborhood. God sent Abby Puckett, mail carrier and angel to Tess. She saw the dogs, was able to spray them with defense spray, get them off of Tess and pull her to safety. It is no exaggeration that she saved Tess’s life at risk to her own. Tess was flown from the scene to the Med. (Forever thankful for Air Evac). After many phone calls and prayer, I was allowed to go in and see her. She is strong and is trying to make the best of this, but I don’t want to minimize at all the trauma she has been through and will continue to deal with. I can not begin describe the damage that was done externally and I know that her soul has endured the same wounds her body has. I was asked to leave the room at 4:30 and wait outside until they were done cleaning her wounds and suturing. (At this point a surgery has not been scheduled.) Almost 5 hours have passed and they are still working on her. That should give you some idea of the scope of her injuries. My friend, Kris, checked on her for me and she is tolerating it well and I can only pray for her and wait to be by her side again. Please continue to pray. There is a long road ahead of us, but I can only pray the prayer I prayed earlier in the week, “Give us this day our daily bread”. An earlier update after she saw her daughter the first time. And I did confirm, this happened yesterday (Sunday) morning. I am finally with Tess Lancaster. She is joking with me. She is so strong and beautiful. She asked, “How did you get back here? They said you couldn’t come.” Me: I threw a fit Tess: I knew you would. Me: Would move heaven and earth and Fight through Covid for you. We are waiting on a plastic surgeon to come see us. I have asked for a particular one but They said they can’t promise anything. Please pray that whoever it is, that they will work miracles with God’s hand on theirs. I will update as I can. I apologize if I don’t get to text or message everyone back. I’ll read every one. I love you. God is Good. So thankful for what He has already accomplished. Help for today, Lord. Evidently these dogs had been a problem in the neighborhood. From my friend... Her mother also references this in her update. You know the owners are going to get a slap on the wrist, and are probably used to county jail, so just take the trash out yourself. Shit like this further validates why I bought my oldest daughter a S&W Shield when she was 17, after an incident. |

If that animal gets loose and causes damage then the owner is on the hook to pay for every bit of it, and that debt can't be discharged in bankruptcy. No income? No problem. You work it off getting paid minimum wage to collect trash on the side of the road, or whatever other crappy job the state needs you to do. On welfare/WIC/disability/UE/etc? Not working and collecting child support and alimony? Then 25% of your "income" goes to whoever was damaged. |
