Searching and filtering is so much easier. |

Which is exactly why PayPal does that. I was selling AAC mounts on Ebay, PayPal’s former parent company, which allows AAC mounts. PayPal locked my account anyways with $820 in it and banned me for life. Took 14 months and a small claims court filing to get them to give me my money back. Which they finally did. But left me banned for life from PayPal or Venmo. I tried to argue the “nothing on your list references muzzle brakes (which all my AAC mounts were). They just referenced their “certain firearms parts” section and claimed they were included. |

If you change to "forum view" it looks like the old EE, until you open the ad you want to see. |

Since the topic is about traffic, I did a quick report on the EE. Keep in mind that while the system is new, the stats aren't trustworthy yet as they are still in a transition period. Over a 3 day period (last 3 days of the new system vs 3 day period prior to launch, there have been more ads listed per day and a lot more views on ads. I'm not denying that issues are not impacting things and that there are people who are turned off by the changes, but traffic hasn't fallen off a cliff either. We are working hard to address all the issues folks have brought up, like the ones above. The reason the new EE looks less full is because of all the old ads still circulating around in the old EE that are not in the new one. As time goes on, it should hopefully mirror what it was. I do apologize that it's a painful change right now and we didn't have everything you wanted on launch, but we are working to improve things every day and will be focused on this until it's where it needs to be! Of course there will be more ads listed per day when you have to place a single ad per item. Compared to the old with on ad and twenty items. Using that logic to justify increased traffic is just dishonest. |

On the far right side of the Want to Trade - Firearms section it tells me the newest post is from Monday, April 1st. Hmmm... That was an active forum with dozens of listings per day. Now the newest as I type this is 26+ hours old. Anyhow, when I select "forum view" as you suggest, then click Want to Trade - Firearms, the latest post is from March 9th. Let's face it, the powers that be fucked up a good thing. |

Can someone explain in simple terms what exactly was wrong with the old EE format and how this new format fixes those problems? I’ve been using the EE here since I was a member and I’ve never had a problem. I have a wish before that people would post pictures but if I was really interested, I could simply request them. Are pics a requirement to post ads in the new EE format? |

bring back old EE. it was fine. easy etc. i hate shit that complicates my life 1 percent more then it needs to be. Out of curiosity last night, I did a survey of all the different firearms or outdoor related forums that I’ve ever participated on with regards to how they run their version of the EE. Every single one that’s still in existence has the text post format, the same as every other sub form. So if it seems to work for every other forum that I know of, once again, can someone clearly state the problem that this fix needed to resolve? I think there’s a reason why this change was made, but I don’t think anyone from our site ownership is going to say so yet, because the only reason I can see to start, this is to lay the groundwork for monetizing the EE. In other words, Arcom’s version of GunBroker. Of course the host takes a cut off of every sale. Otherwise, otherwise, I can’t see any reason to change to what we have now. |

I can't answer your question about what the new EE is fixing. As far as the monetization, Goatboy has said they are changing their dealer payment model. Instead of an annual or monthly payment, they will be charging per listed item sold. Check the new EE help files for deets. |

I would list items there and here at the same time (most of with my prices here slightly lower) and 95% of the time, it would sell there quicker. Sometimes a little dickering of price, but most of the time, they would buy it at my listed price. |
