You know I am glad things turned out good for the homeowner.
But watching that video made me think that this same scenario is being played out more and more in this nation and that is these hoods coming into a quite middle class neighborhood and just storming the home and a lot of times knowing people are inside the home. And to show their brazen way they came armed as well. I look for the future to become quite violent for those who work hard and have obtained nice things by way of these cretins who are walking around like a big primitive Id shouting out "I want it,Give it to me!!" Waste them and please dont miss!! |

Color, audio, decent framerate, decent placement etc. I would say the description from that went a long ways to getting those guys apprehended so quickly. I installed a Lorex system last year. Really good quality video day or night. So far I have caught moths, spiders, cat, and my BIL peeing in my side yard

Notice the motion blur? During the winter, when snow is on the ground, it brightens up scenes quite a bit. This would allow her to use a faster frame-rate, or a faster shutter speed. And THAT would have prevented the motion-blur we see in the video (made a .GIF for illustrative purposes)

I've always found those butt ugly, cheapass hi point carbines to be pretty reliable. Look at the condition of that thing; and yet it went bang when needed. While I have no experience of my own, I'm going to have to agree with your observation. I gave one (9mm) to my Niece when she was having abusive BF issues years ago. It never gave me any issues, was accurate with the little SKS scope I put on it, and goodness knows how many rounds she has put through it in the years she has owned it with no issues. She had me get her a couple more mags for it and when I called her to tell her to come and pick them up she showed-up with the money for the mags and $200.00 for the carbine. I took the money for the mags but refused the $200.00. Good looking out for your niece. As an aside, I'm wondering if they had the carbine because it was Detroit and there are restrictive pistol laws? (I don't know--is Detroit like Shitcago and DC for pistol laws in the house?) Detroit doesn't have any extra restrictions over Michigan, which requires registration,a dn depending on city, they treat you like a criminal. |

I don't typically leave the mag loaded, but I'll try that to see if it makes a difference. No issues with rust at all, and I live on the coast. |
