The only chef I know in real life usually seems a little tipsy whenever he stops by the table. Of course he is also the owner so he can do what he wants.

your opinion may vary, but I really dont care... Actually, it is still this way in Canada. You want the bigger portions, you pay for it. Frankly, I prefer the American way - more value for the dollar, but it requires self control. You just can't eat like that all of the time and not become a land whale.

A lettuce wedge is what you are served when the kitchen can't/won't /doesn't know how to prepare a green salad.
Wow, a salad bar. That means I have to get my own salad. Line up at the trough. Restaurants act like they are doing you a favor, when in fact they can get by with one less kitchen staff employee. No thanks. |

Best wedge salad I ever had was in Hill City, South Dakota. The Alpine Inn. Check out the evening menu and price –– that is all they serve on the evening menu (other than the pile of desserts).
