I had a Fort Knox door with S&G electronic lock with the little dongle thing for audits. They have a master code that they keep. You get another master code that can set or revoke new codes. The manufacturer master code is fully embedded. The door had a serial sticker on it and when my electronic lock malfunctioned they gave a code to the locksmith. They would not provide it to me. The inside rotating unlock motor had jammed so the code didn't let him in but the fact is they do have a master code on file. The only way to be 100% sure you have the only code/combo is to use a mechanical lock - which are way more reliable anyway. The electronic locks suck. Locksmith had to drill the door so they (Ft. Knox) gave them drill location and depth in reference to a pass through hole for wires on the lock then he used a 1/2" endmill to bore in so deep and turned the motor by hand with a pick. |
| I have a 30 year old Browning safe with a combo style lock. I lost the combo. Typed up a request on PD letterhead with the serial number and they sent my combo. The letterhead was to verify I owned the safe. All safes have a combo logged by the manufacturer I suspect. |

Quoted: They probable served Liberty Safes a subpoena to go along with the search warrant they had to search his house. That way they didn't have to have someone drill and destory the safe. Lol since when would they care about something like that? Dog shot, feeling up the wife, house trashed…now better not tear up the safe. Please |

Quoted: Even Apple refused to unlock a phone. Apple could not unlock the phones, and the Feds (according to Apple's lawyers, who seem to have won) couldn't force them to develop a mechanism to unlock the phones. If Apple already had a way (or at least one they'd admit to) to unlock the phones, they would have been required to do so. The Feds can't force you to create stuff/do work for them. |

Can you believe those traitors at Liberty gave up their customers over J6? That's an outrage! Site Staff ![]() Attached File |

Quoted: When you buy a safe does it have the combo in the owners manual? If so the company has that info to cross refference with the name & serial #. Of course if you paid cash and didn't fill out the warranty card or bought 2nd hand it reduces the chance of a friendly hand over. I changed my combo the very next day ( as soon as I could get a guy out there) So no they don't have my current combo just the one that was listed in the manual. Do you think that would stop them from getting in? |

Quoted: What would the contents of someone’s safe have to do withJan 6? I don’t see the relevance. It’s not like there were people shooting people unless they were a fed. Doesn't really matter if something would normally be stored in a safe. LEO can look anywhere in the house they could find the items they are authorized search for and seize. If they are allowed to look for a thumb drive they could pop the safe. They did the guy a favor by getting the code rather than destroying the safe to get inside. |
|
Quoted: My question is how? Either the guy I purchased my safe from lied to me, or is a damn good dealer. When he delivered my safe he told me there was no combo set and we came up with a series of numbers and that’s what opens my safe. Master codes, just like master keys. |

Quoted: A construction gas powered abrasive wheel saw will get into any liberty safe in a few minutes. After seeing Liberty safes up close, I agree with you. Unfortunately, it's become apparent that other "safe" companies have gone down the road of cheapening their products, too. Superior Safe Company, which used to put out some pretty decent RSCs, recently stopped making their best safe/RSC and then lightened the steel they used in their remaining line-up. Disappointing to say the least. |

Quoted: Spin dials they do. Why i bought a spin dial. Now the digital ones,no you can get into them even with a dead battery. My friend has had to call twice. Another reason i skipped the digital pad. Hate to break it to you, but no they don't. Only need your combo if they plan to let you use the lock again. Otherwise, some one knows what they are doing will open you safe with no combo pretty dang fast. |

Quoted: Even Apple refused to unlock a phone. Quoted: Quoted: Basically any company will do that when required via legal means. This isn't even slightly implausible. Even Apple refused to unlock a phone. Because they couldn't. A safe company could do the same: set a combination, write it down in the owner's manual, and never record it elsewhere, but people generally like being able to call the manufacturer when they forget their combination. |

Quoted: Even Apple refused to unlock a phone. Fuck Apple. They made a big deal about their customer's privacy and how they do not give shit up. Then they gave up the Pirate Bay's founder to the cops. I guess they respect everyone's privacy unless they are eating into their profits. |

Quoted: If liberty had a backdoor into the lock, why do they pay a locksmith to break your lock, doesn't make sense, they could save themselves a lot of money and headache... Until their back door leaks and they find them selves in a world of PR shit as it's used to burgle everyone's most prized possession. |

Why are they seizing his guns to begin with? He's not been convicted of anything, where's his due process? Or is he just getting the old terrorist treatment where all his rights are out the window? And we're gonna need more info before we judge liberty. If they just voluntarily gave the info, fuck them and they need a new business name. If they were legally compelled to, that's a little bit different. |
