Just a colonoscopy? Pffft, until youve had the medical equivalent of an Eiffel Tower (endoscopy/colonoscopy) youre still in the AAA leagues.  Honestly, the worst part of my endo/colonoscopy was the drink prep the night before. I have never, EVER experienced a shitting event like I did before that. IT ALL CAME OUT. ALL OF IT. And frankly I was peeing water out my ass for at least an hour. You basically fall asleep on the toilet cause theres no point leaving the bathroom. |

I’ve also heard a lot of younger people in their 30s are getting colon cancer much more frequently. I’m 55 , just had my first colonoscopy. Came back stage three. I’m in chemotherapy now. All kidding aside, go get checked. Surgery wasn’t too bad , chemo sucks. I don’t feel bad , but you can feel what they’re giving you isn’t good for you. Get everyone in your circle checked if you can, it’s better to know today if you have it , than tomorrow. |

This is the truth. Friend of mine died from colon cancer. He did not make 50 years old. Get yourself checked out. He did not have a family history but his family had a history of other cancers. |

The anesthetist can knock you out if you start squirming or talking too much. I know a man who refuses all medication because he's a "recovering" addict. He's a lot braver than I am. Yea that's called "conscious Sedation"

I start my prep tomorrow for my scopes from both ends (camera spit roast) Wednesday. I’ve never been so excited for this. Had a few in my life, but I’m hoping to get answers to the awful pain and horrid symptoms I’ve had for the last 7 months. I’m also looking forward to the post exam farts. They are the loudest and funniest farts on the planet. I die laughing every time. |
| Getting my first at the end of July. Been putting it off for 8 years due to having a mechanical heart valve and I'm on high dose Warfarin. The prep for me includes the draino flush, PLUS heparin shots every 12 hours for 5 days before and how many days after until my INR is in range. My stomach is gonna look like Mike Tyson used it as a speed bag. |

39 and had my first colonoscopy a couple months ago. the actual procedure wasn't bad, because you are unconscious the whole time. the prep on the other hand sucked. and i had to do 2 day prep. had 3 polyps, none cancerous. but they want me to have another colonoscopy in 3 years. |
