[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Have you ever been somewhere and you sensed pure evil? Serious question (Page 2 of 9)

Quoted: Yes, a South Dakota Rez at dusk. Pure evil and hatred. I lived on another South Dakota Rez as a child for several years with my maternal grandmother, so somewhat understood Rez life. I have worked in Africa in multiple hot spots and the Rez was pure evil. Like, the whole reservation? Or just a particular place? As for sensing evil, more with people. The guy who mentioned a guy in the elevator, I can think of encounters like that. Juvenile murder suspects and the like are right up that alley. More dangerous than adults in many ways. They don't care and some of them are completely fucking dead inside. Like the spark a functional human should have just never took root. Otherwise, you ever been somewhere, or just sitting at home, with your dog, and there's nothing unusual. No sounds or anything you can tell. No movement you picked up. And your dog suddenly goes fucking nuts? Barking, growling, snarling at something and you can't figure out what it is or why? That's always an interesting experience. |

No. My imagination doesn't run away with itself. I have sensed malice, hatred, guilt, the ecstasy of self righteous anger and the flipping of the switch that thugs have when they just let themselves go blood simple. It just feels so good! I've routinely been around guys who would opportunistically attack if they sensed weakness, so predictably it was contemptibly amusing. Constant target glancing, positioning, grooming and canned small talk. Bruh...get a new routine. No demons, ghosts or LOL, "haunted places". 32 years of shithole ghetto policing, worked hundreds of homicides and thousands of Part One violent crimes. I saw low quality humans in distress(at least half from their own violation of the 4 Stupids) and shit tier humans preying on them. No Evil, unless a watering hole on the Serengeti is "evil", because it's the same exact thing. All the Index Crimes revolve around Darwinian resource scarcity and the Game Theory equation of "taking' by force or stealth, gratifying yourself sexually or by terrorizing others for status. You could keep a prosecutor pretty busy at a water hole charging interspecies hate crimes. I did see other coppers and civilians...routinely get spooked by mentally ill people who were off meds or having an episode. But I read things other than the bible or comic books, so I understood(and sometimes sympathized. Not always, it's very complex) with the people involved, even the cops who should have known better. |

Quoted: The original Bobby Mackey’s bar in Wilder , KY. You could walk across the plank floor and feel something staring up at you from below. Scary as all get out… I came to post this….I was there 1985 just turned 21 and we were out taking advantage of our new found legality in the pubs. This was before the internet and the stories but even then something just didn't set well with me. Very difficult to describe. |
| A friend of mine related an incident he was involved in, In which he was hired to do some drywall repairs by the local Planned Parenthood, he said he worked half a day and told them to find someone else to do the job because there was no way he was staying in that building..... He told me there was an overwhelming sense of evil permeating that place. |

Quoted: Logically, never. Emotionally, yea I've felt vibes in certain areas. I'd can't defend those feelings though. |

Yes, I was aboard the Queen Mary at Long Beach. Walking around and started down the stairs to the pool area. A rush of cold air hit me with a very strong sense of trouble and get out of there right now. I found out that ship has a long documented history of haunting claims. |

Thinking about this a bit more one comes to mind. I went to Jr High with a kid named Rob Thiret. He was a weird fucker, he was always getting into trouble doing shit like following girls into the bathrooms, cutting pictures out of Playboys and taping to girls lockers and bicycles. He just gave off a really weird vibe that at the time I didn’t recognize. Years later I realized the vibe was evil. Sexual assault & attempted murder of 3yo girl |

Quoted: Yep The first time I went to Philly for work, coworker and I were staying in the downtown Hilton. We went out to find an authentic cheese steak place one night. Hopped in the car and just did what Google said. It ended up routing us through Kensington. I didn't even know this area existed at the time - this was around 2019 and it's only worse now. I had NEVER seen any place that looked this much like a literal zombie apocalypse. The people shambling around just looked beyond hope. Like they weren't human anymore. You looked at them and they either didn't acknowledge you, or if they did look, it was like being stared at by an animal. Many of them looked like they were dead. Some may have been. Some others were up and moving, but it looked like they shouldn't be. We couldn't get the fuck out of there quickly enough. The entire place felt like we shouldn't be there at all. I got similar vibes from west Baltimore earlier this year. |
| I've seen some gang bangers with the look in their eyes. It's like there was no mistaking the fact that they had taken a life. I've told people the difference between a real banger and a wanna be is like looking at a lion at the zoo and seeing the real thing in the wild. |

Yes, a few times. You can definitely feel it. One of my customers had offices in an old hospital campus. The PBX was in the basement of the main building which was mostly abandoned. Right down the hall from where the cadavers and recently past were kept. I would constantly hear foot steps and whispers. Saw a door down the hall move one day. After about a year of a few visits a month and myself talking to them and telling them I wasn't there to harm them, they stopped. It was weird. I also stayed at an inn at Gettysburg that was supposed to be haunted. My wife and didn't see, feel or hear anything that night. There was a Journal in which some visitors saw visions and had sheets pulled off the bed. I was a little disappointed. |

One of our membera told a very interesting story about a huntingvtrip, found a refrigerator or something out in the woods and as he got close got a horrible feeling of evil. Left, got home and told his dad about the feeling he had, just that he felt like he had to get out of the woods NOW, and his dad described exactly where it happened. His dad had found the place years before and had the same feeling. |

when desert storm was all over CNN I was working for a private security contractor, I had just flown back to the states from Djibouti to Bakersfield CA. my aunt who lived there told me to come over and use their spare room (it was converted into her home office at the time) I put my bag in the closet of that room, inside the bag were a few guns and my clothes, her and my uncle had CNN on constantly the air strikes were underway softening things up, I was exhausted and went to the spare room and folded out the couch in the room and passed out sometime during the night something woke me, I was always very sensative to feeling when anyone was looking at me, and I felt this very strong at that time... I was locked on that closet it was like my brain was hyper focused on it, I tried to move but literally couldn't, nomatter how hard I tried I could not turn my head nothing... then it was gone as fast as it hit me... I jumped up and opened the door to the closet grabbed my bag and got my CZ82 out and started working my way through the house... nothing... I went back to the room and no bad feelings nothing it was normal again... the whole neighborhood was these WW2 era houses all built out of not really brick more like painted slump block all exactly the same for the life of me I can't recall the street name but they lived in that house since 1972 fast forward to 2002 my aunt has passed away 2 years earlier from cancer, my cousin decides to turn the home workshop my uncle used for decades as a appliance repair space really an enclosed back patio on a cement slab into a game room addition ... my cousin starts breaking up the slab at the far end.. they find skeletal remains .... it was a teenage girl they said had been buried since the 1950s... the remains were exactly outside the wall of that bedroom closet literally her head was against the foundation right at that closet.... I've been in some really weird places since then but never as intense and never locked up every muscle in my body the way that night did, it was like I was literally wrapped tight in some kind of hard fabric or something, |

And that room. The previous owner died in there. If you believe that vibe. You could feel it. There was a bad energy. edit: they also had some Shaman come in and do a ritual. There was a tangible energy in that room. Not good. |

Studies have shown sounds in the 17-19 Hz can cause emotions such as anxiety, sorrow, a sense of doom, sensing of a presence. These 'infrasounds' happen below 20 Hz so they occur at the lower limit of our human hearing so we can't consciously hear them but our bodies still react to them. Many 'haunted' places have been found to contain strong infrasound sources such as large empty halls or warehouses, subways, tunnels, old buildings with wind gaps. |

Yep. A few times. One place I had to be at once a month. A large movie theater complex I was doing pest control at. 1st theater on the end always had an eerie feeling that something didnt want me there. Another was on a paranormal investigation of a wooded area with an old cemetery. One of the girls went to the other cemetery and came back screaming. 3 welts wereforming on her neck. So like people with "common sense", a bunch of us went over to where she came running from. I have an ear bud in when I use my voice recorder so I can hear everything real time. Waslooking for any tree branch possibly low enough for her to had run into and scared the crap out of her. As I'm walking point along the side of the woods next to grave stones, I hear a veryclear and distinct demonic like growl saying "Get out". I turned around and told the rest of the group "Time to leave" and made everyone go back to the parking lot and told them what I heard. It came across the recorder a lot fainter than when I heard it real time, but it was still understandable. Had a shadowy figure about 2' tall follow us along the trees by the river. Kept ducking back into the trees when we turned around. Literally had the shape of a large garden gnome. Both of us had 'that feeling'. |

I've told people the difference between a real banger and a wanna be is like looking at a lion at the zoo and seeing the real thing in the wild. There was a guy at Wannamacher that gave me a really bad vibe, he gave me some dirty looks. Yes he was an urban youth. |

Quoted: I went to a Tilted Kilt restaurant with a friend several years ago and felt a VERY strong presence of something evil there. No, it wasn't because the waitresses were in short skits and this isn't a parody. Something felt seriously evil. I'm not sure what it was. Once we left the restaurant the feeling ceased. I'm not a medium or anything like that. I have come across evil people as a LEO, but this was different and much stronger. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Yes, at a Gas Station in Forest VA. I couldn't pay fast enough and bolt. |

My uncle owned a gas station from around 1952 to 1959. The original building was built probably in the 1930’s. 1945 a previous owner shot himself and died there, newspaper itemi foundin the local paper said it was accidental. A little less than eight years later while my uncle owned it the building was destroyed as the result of a traffic accident involving a car, a box truck and a double trailer gravel truck, the gravel truck going through the station while my uncle and his worker were inside. Both injured but lived. What was left of the station was demolished and rebuilt, I contend that building was jinxed. People, one in particular, son of a friend. Only way I can describe it was no soul, his eyes, I can’t describe it, like nothing there. I had a feeling of sadness for him if that makes any sense. He was no dummy, just a lost soul I guess. |

I was looking at houses to buy and ended up in a basement that was completely empty with concrete walls and floor. The smell reminded me of when I was doing URBEX down in the hood in Detroit and it was cool down there but the hair on the back of my neck was up from about 2 steps from the bottom going down and I couldn’t get out of that house fast enough. Either something bad happened down there or there was something down there with us-I’m not the easily spooked type, but that shit was like even after we left I was trying to get it off of me like it attached itself. |

Was dating this girl, fat chick but she was really sweet and had great tits. We usually stayed at my place because hers was out in the boonies, plus I lived alone, her brother and sister in law lived in her basement. Anyway, was Christmas time, so I spent Christmas Eve at her place for the first time, and the whole house just felt wrong..... I didn't sleep that night and got my ass out of there in the morning. Never went back there. We stayed friends when she moved away and I asked about it when she left. I guess someone was murdered in the house but she didn't have a lot of details, she said she felt uneasy there too. |

I've experienced it twice, with one time being so overwhelmingly powerful that I felt my actual thought process slow down and change. It was terrifying. |

The white people in eastern SD, OTOH, were some of the weirdest mofos I have ever encountered anywhere. Stop at a gas station or store, go in and say hi to someone; weirdos just stared back. All the whites I encountered were like that. It was the only place during the trip where people refused to let me set up my tent on their property when asked. I met some really nice people in western SD. They told me it was like 2 different states, east and west of the Missouri River. Sure seemed to me to be true. I'll never forget Watertown, SD; more people blew their horn at me and gave me the finger getting through there than the entire rest of the 3000+ mile trip. And comments from white people; there was a palpable sense of anti-Indian prejudice through SD. I remember stopping at a restaurant right after I crossed from SD into MN. A priest came up and asked if he could sit and talk with me about my travels, so I said OK. He said he was surprised I hadn't been mugged on the reservation - I asked him if he'd ever been there, and he said no. I had forgotten it by the time I got to SD (heading eastbound), but after getting there I was reminded of what a couple bicycling westbound had told me back in Idaho or Montana; the people of SD are WEIRD and they are all still fighting the Indian wars. OTOH, I toured SD for several days by car in 2017. No issues anywhere. |

Quoted: I'm not sure about evil, but definately a very uncomfortable vibe. It was the property on which the courthouse sits in Lincoln, New Mexico. It's where Billy the Kid was held after his murder conviction, while waiting to be hanged. He escaped by killing his two guards. A lady who lived in the building several years later stated in her book that a man who rented a room downstairs often reported that the ghost of "Colonel Murphy" would come into his room. Murphy was the owner of the mercantile group that Billy the Kid and the Regulators fought in the Lincoln County War. A relatively recent investigation on the death of one of the deputies experienced some paranormal stuff, as well. I was there a few months ago on 6th August. Friend of mine lives near that big ass boulder a few miles west of Lincoln so we had afternoon chow courtesy of his wonderful (and soon to be ex-wife) and then we drove into Lincoln and they gave us the full tour. I used to live in Portales and drove through Lincoln a few times back in the ‘80s but never stopped and toured the town. I didn’t feel anything evil, but the “town” didn’t feel…peaceful…either, come to think of it. Lord I miss it down there. |

Ten years or so ago I flew into SeaTac airport (Seattle) for work. I was walking out when I had the overwhelming felling of dread and agitation. I looked around and saw a guy leaning against the wall,he had dark hair medium build, long grey jacket, otherwise non discript. and every fiber of my body screamed that he was evil incarnate. He turned and made eye contact , then he smiled and sort of waved me off as to say “you’re not the one I’m looking for” there was a flood of relief and I ran away . I really ran I am certain that this was some sort of evil entity. I’m not normally a guy that goes for demons and shit but this was like nothing I have ever experienced. I knew in my soul that this was evil. |
|
I wouldn't call it pure evil, but I used to have a friend with some pretty severe mental health issues. It was a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde type of situation. One day Mr Hyde took over and my friend was gone. When this friend let his demons take over it was pretty frightening, and he was completely unstable. |

I have worked in Africa in multiple hot spots and the Rez was pure evil. Never had much issue on any of the reservations, but don't be there on the 1st of the month, payday from the government or from the Casino if they have one, shootings, stabbings, people getting beat up, drugs, alcohol, usually cools down in a few days then boring as fuck until the next 1st of the month. |
| A couple of good ones I've had were Dachau, and an abandoned office building on a military base. Part of an office complex for Convair and GD from what I remember. Two and three stories, multiple offices. I was part of a survey crew, and my partner and I were detailed to record the buildings and interiors. All of the floors were pretty much cleared out, a few desks and chairs, papers on the floor, files, etc. Third floor in one of the buildings, came up the stairs, entered a large office space. Some asshole(s) had done the pentagram on the floor schtick, nailed a couple of cats onto the walls and gutted them, a few crows in a similar condition, black candles, floor stains, etc. That was an uneasy place. Took pics, recorded notes, got out. Never heard what happened after that, other than the info was turned into base cops. |
