for those that haven't been keeping track, the predicted track has harvey staying over san antonio for a day and a half now

Well, my parents decided to ride out the storm at the ranch in Goliad. So far, what is left of the eye is supposed to pass right over them. They say winds are picking up now.
They are high on a hill in a house with 2X6 construction. Projected winds are not to exceed 90mph. They also have a welder (to use as a generator) and another smaller one if needed. Main well is on an electric pump and secondary (much deeper water table) is on solar, but the water is full of sulfur. Padre has charged three car batteries with pig tail for charging phones etc. My mother in law lives in Corpus and she is fine, but without power. I'll post updates from them when I can. |

| Fox News guy said the heavy rain could reach quite a bit further north. He was saying San Antonio and Austin could see about 10 inches of rainfall because the storm is supposed to stall over the TX coast and remain there until Tuesday in a weekend state. If this happens some areas could see 50+ inches. |

Hope all you guys are doing ok...especially the ones that stayed. Not sure when or if I'll get down that way but if I do I have just under 1K of the Wolf SRM that you can have.

Not really. By hurricane standards it's a pretty small event thus far. Look at what Rita did. It didn't get the publicity of Ike or Katrina, but damn now THAT was a storm. A few weeks after I drove from Houston to Baton Rouge and saw 100 miles of downed trees. |
