It seems like a decent solution. Just a simple profile setting each member can set...and surround the badge area with some code that conditionally renders the section based on that setting's value. Minimal performance hit if you cache the value in each member's session.

But until that is done, I believe they should stay disabled.

I get it, there are a lot of people here who don't give a fuck, but there are also a lot of people here who have something at risk and we face a determined leftist enemy.
