Trump will be the same deal as Dubya though, they'll wait until it's okay to criticize him again and THEN decide to be honest about their past. Honesty only works when it doesn't negatively affect your bank account. And, during the primary Trump refused to come on his show at all because he knew he'd ask the hard questions.
Levin has gone a little soft recently since Trump's been saying nice things about him but, I suppose even stars can get star struck. He may not be holding Trump's feet to the fire like he once was but, he's still pretty much the only Constitutional Conservative voice we have on the airwaves espousing Constitutional Conservatism by and large. I'm actually surprised about Coulter. She was one of his biggest fans in the beginning but actually showed some true conviction when he got off the conservative message and simply became a populous "All big talk/no action" huckster. I think it's because Anne herself is a professional troll but an entertaining one...it's okay to be a twitter/tv troll for lolz but when you have a literal troll running the country, you never actually get anything done. There is more to being a president than simply "pissing off libs." I kind of expected her to be another Hannity/Rush that tosses aside actual conservative morals/convictions and blindly follows him because that's what the base wants/that's where the money is. Both of those guys know it's a ratings death sentence because the boomer types will instantly blacklist/boycott them both if they decide to go against "Orange man alwayz good" narrative. ETA: He's much more of an attack dog than Hannity or Rush, who spend most of the day running interference for Trump, could hope to be. I do wish he'd hold Trump more accountable to the same Conservative standards he preaches though. |
