Would like to have tried to make my 1st West this year, unfortunately work is getting in the way. Ordered some Swag since it's too cool not to. Wouldn't let me do FF for some reason. Good luck to all those who attend and may it be glorious suffering that builds you better!

My weapons of choice, in light of the raffle.  Decided to go out last week and zero and get in some practice before the event. Set up a stand at ~160 yds with two 6" square plates and the hostage taker plate from my IPSC.  Another stand was set up at ~270 yds with a little IPSC, a covid target, and, well...  Someone left a sort of silhouette out there, which ended up being ~330 yds away.  I propped up an 18" plate at ~420 yds.  And the full-size IPSC ended up being ~560 yds away (forgot to take a photo of it). Set up on a hilltop and got all of the targets with the 30 rounds I brought with me except for the covid and the dick target. If it wasn't getting late and crazy windy I would have done another round or two. I had some pretty decent wind coming from the left.   And of course, practiced with grenades for the cluster of 100 yd targets. Also practiced with the pistol on the IPSC at 100 yds and on various smaller plates at 15-30 yds or so. Surprisingly, I can almost hold the pistol sights right on the IPSC at 100 and hit it.   I even drank a bunch of soda, although that was for pleasure, not practice, lol. Looking forward to next week. |
