I sell on both FB marketplace and copy/past the information to Craigslist as well. Easily a 1/3 of the items I’ve sold have been on Craigslist, so I still use it to post items for sale. Flakes are everywhere. The “is this item available?” messages are a bit annoying, but I’ve sold stuff to people to people who started with this question. It doesn’t take much to respond with a simple “yes, it is”. Many new users don’t know how to start a conversation, so they use the default inquiry message. As someone who mostly works from home, selling items is super convenient as they come to me and I’m not waiting for them. If someone flakes, I just move on to the next person who’s wanting the item. If anyone is ever rude, or disrespectful when giving an offer, I just block them. I don’t have the fucks to give about selling an item to deal with asshats. |

Facebook is fucking bullshit. Way back yonder I started paying to boosts posts for my business and I was banned in like two weeks for "spam". Called the Melvin in silicon valley and he couldn't figure out or do shit besides say "it says you were banned for spam" Well no shit. HOW DO I FIX IT. "It says you were banned for spam".

| I needed a burn barrel last year for all the cardboard boxes everyone gets now. Looked on FB. Right away saw an ad for them. $20. Asked if he had any. Quick reply. "Sure do. $20, cash only." Gave me an address. Drove over there, saw a couple barrels out on the driveway, and knocked on the door. Crickets. Looked around back and called out. Nothing. Knocked again, harder. Nothing. Doorbell non-functional. Got back in the truck and tried to message him on FB. Nothing. Knocked again with no response. Finally I figured it out. Left the $20 in the screen door and loaded one of the barrels in the truck. Drove off and never heard another word about it. Weird way to do business... |

I listed an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar, a Fender amp, and a Yamaha drum set on Facebook Marketplace. Each listing elicited about 100 responses and questions, which I had to address. In each case, a person agreed to buy it and arranged a time to come over... then they never showed up. I'd pass it on to the next interested buyer, who would say they would come over... and they didn't show up either. This happened over and over and wasted a lot of my time. I eventually sold everything, but it was a huge time suck because 98.87% percent of the "interested buyers" were bogus or terminally stupid. It's a marketplace of morons. On the other hand, I listed all these items on craigslist.com and got zero results. |

of all the ads I have up. I have an ad for two pieces of marine plywood. some special stuff as it's AA grade, marine fur, that is pressure treated and kiln dried. I think now it's probably over $100 a sheet. I have to two sheets, I want $50, I just want them gone, and I dont want to just throw them away. Holy shit man....I had two people inquire about them that wanted like 20 fucking pictures of the plywood

This, I’ve got some Game Boy Advance games up on marketplace, clearly stating the photos are to prove the games play and that the GBA SP is NOT included; still get folks offering half the asking price and is the SP included, lol. |
