I don't think that deal is available as of now (somebody hot link it if it is) but I was impressed none the less. I don't recall Cabela's doing this with the NRA. I rarely buy stuff from Bass Pro Shops but will reconsider to purchase more often...I especially like their maribou jigs for crappie, white bass and walleye fishing. |

Either you're pro-freedom, or you're not. To imply that certain technological advancements in firearms is not family-friendly, traditional, or appropriate given the current anti-freedom climate won't cut the mustard, and you will go out of business for being a wet-noodle-spined serf, versus someone who is willing to put it all on the line for freedom. Freedom is worth it, serfdom and tyranny are your future if you compromise. |

Sent Cabela's an email thanking them for their decision.
I truly hope the event fails big this year. The city of Harrisburg is in pretty poor shape financially due to the goof-ball mayor that is running for a second term. This event could have brought some much needed revenue into the city and surrounding communities. Some of the local gun shops in my area have pulled out, and I will tell them that I support their decision. I hope that an complete failure from the event will cause some backlash from the local community, but that is just wishful thinking on my part. |

As a hunting-focused event, we welcome exhibitors who wish to showcase products and firearms that serve the traditional needs of the sport. Clearly, we strongly support the 2nd Amendment. However, this year we have made the decision not to include certain products that in the current climate may attract negative attention that would distract from the strong focus on hunting and fishing at this family-oriented event and possibly disrupt the broader positive experience of our guests.
I read this as Cabela's statement. Clearly I was mistaken. I retract my prior statement and will enroll in a reading and comprehension course ASAP |

| Found this on Slickdeals this morning. Cabela's 3 season jacket for $19.99 . It seems like a pretty nice deal and another way to support Cabela's. I have always been a customer, but will support them even more now. |
