I haven't seen custom maps yet but I just started playing a few days ago, I think the game is still kind of new. I'm sure we'll see a bunch soon though. I agree about the crappy mods and sound effects. It ruins the game in most cases IMO. I'll check into some of the game ip's listed above. I can't stand playing against the campers, bunny-hopping, spawn killers that are so abundant on many servers. I'm about level 22 or 23 myself, the name is [AR15]Smallbore, don't kill me too much when we play, I tend to stink

| The TAC-Sim server I have been playing on is The 509th. You can get the IP Addys as well as a full listing of their rules at www.509th.net . They have 2 COD4 servers up right now, one ranked, one unranked. They are full ALOT, so keep trying if at first you cannot get on. |
True, that's the one that came with the 1.4 update. I didn't count that one because it was from the vendor but your right. I like the Santa saying "Ho Ho Ho " as the bombs are falling :) |
I just go to my conputer and double click there since I have the same problem when clicking the short cut. |

Camping is part of the game, as is running you will see both actions take place in real combat. next patch should make it where jumping takes away health and you can't shoot while jumping like when running. That would cure the bunny hopping problem. Campers who never move eventually die. With hard core, if I hae just joined a game, I will camp until a uav shows up. In Alaska my pings always suck. So I get a kill, move to a new spot, get another kill. I can't run and gun (usually play with silenced assault rifles) so I have to pick my shots. but noobs who just hang in the same corner will always get owned eventually. |

I have just attained Level 55, finally. I received a Gold Desert Eagle for my troubles. How do I get the other gold weapons, exactly. Is there anything else worth doing besides continuing to beat challenges? The XP won't really help me, but the challenges are still kind of fun. I'm thinking of starting a new profile just to have a much improved kill ratio, now that I am past the learning curve for online play. Thanks. |

On the PC, all you can do is complete all the remaining challenges. If you complete all the weapon challenges in a weapon group (i.e., assault), you'll receive a gold finish for a predetermined weapon in that group (i.e., gold AK for assault). On consoles, I believe you can earn a prestige point and restart, though I'm not positive. |
