As someone who returns to working night security next week.... this thread terrifies me  As someone who has worked night security for 10 years... this thread doesn't do much at all for me. I've guarded "haunted" buildings before. I've done shifts in buildings where they dissect cadavers. I've been in buildings where there have been histories of "paranormal activities." I've spoken to experienced and solid people (e.g. not given to flights of fancy) who have directly experienced these situations. The facility where I am has a reputation for displaying the laughter of children. I've never experienced these. Not saying it doesn't happen... maybe my own ESP rating is too low. Like I'm esper-deaf. |

I mentioned earlier the haunted tunnels at the mall... always felt like something was watching me and got creeped out every time I used them. I can dream up anything, it's hard for me to read a scary book while I'm in bed because I'll just think of some creepy face popping into the light from my tablet I'm definitely a skeptic, but that doesn't mean I don't have vivid ideas about what could be   |

Like I'm esper-deaf. There are plenty of things happening at my facilities but NONE of them can go unexplained... but two. Laughter in the distance? Coyotes howling. Doors closing in the hallway? Air handling doors, which make exactly the same noise as an office door closing. Toilets flushing by themselves? The only ones that do this are activated by proximity sensors... No reason they cannot be responding to faulty circuits. |

The second one had a noise that may have been loud enough to hear without any amplifying but I won't know till I watch it over. |

Audacity is free software, you can download and use it to increase the DB levels pretty easily. Video is a bit harder to enhance for free, but if you get anything solid let me know. Edit I just read that you dont have a computer, if that is the case, if you can upload the content somewhere and give me a timestamp I can probably enhance it quickly. |
| A buddy of mine's dad was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth in the 60s. My buddy said the ghost stuff was fairly common even then. His mom came downstairs one morning and there was a ghostly woman in a long dress and apron washing dishes in the sink. She could hear the water splashing and the dishes clanking but the sink was empty. She told the woman that she would finish the dishes after breakfast and the woman disappeared. There was some other stuff but the woman was only seen the one time. |

| Hearing odd noises here and there. I got a recording yesterday of one of the more common ones we've been hearing. If I can ever figure out how to get it off my phone with no computer I'll put it on here. You'll hear it after the 10 min mark when I do put it up. |

So have you tried using your camera phone to scan the rooms for anything that might show up electronically? Got any NODs on hand, those can see a little ways into the short wave IR spectrum that you also can't normally see. Best of luck in your ethereal ISR operation. |
