There are some methods out there for calibrating your flow rate by printing a hollow 20x20x20mm cube and measuring the walls with a caliper to determine your current flow rate and what your flow rate should be.  That would be the best place to start, so you have a good base to work from.  If you do this then it probably wouldn't hurt to also calibrate your e-steps.

There's an issue with that procedure as well.

Definitely calibrate your Esteps before even doing anything.

Even though your flow rate may be 93% if you don't get good fill on top layers you need to bump your flow up. Many times I've had to bump the flow up to get good top layers.

I think the better method is horizontal expansion tweeks and x/y step calibration.

Question.

On the two lowers I printed it seems to be somewhat uneven on top of the receiver, above the FCG where it mates up with the upper. Not a huge deal but defiantly noticeable. Anyone else notice this?

Sorry your question went un-answered for so long.  I think most of us either printed enough hellfires to get bored with them, or moved on to the py2a Glock frames and other 3D2A goodness.

Top of the lower is the first layer if printed according to the instructions/file, so if it's uneven then you probably had bed adhesion issues or warping.  Try again after cleaning the bed with the strongest rubbing alcohol you can get, maybe bump the bed temp or first layer temp a few degrees, or clean the bed and do a light misting of scent-free hairspray like aqua net.  Watch as your first layer goes down, make sure they're even lines with no waves or gaps, could be fighting an unlevel bed or incorrect z-offset.
------

Finally got around to assembling one of the few hellfires I printed.  Got lucky on this one, turned that buffer tube just a tad too far to install the rear takedown detent and that buffer detent left the lower at approximately mach 3, then I actually found it.  First time ever finding a pin I sent to the moon.
