Quoted: Jan. 5 - 104 Jan. 6 - 400 so far Total: 1,924 Thursday and Friday were rough with schedule and general fatigue. Great challenge! You can ALWAYS drop down and do a few every day. ...added 601 after some plans fell through. Jan. 6 Total for Year: 2,525 I can knock out 70 or so in one set, but if I have time, sets of 40 every few minutes helps up the numbers while being easier to get in more sets. For the last 400, I did a set of 25 every 5 minutes (downloaded an EMOM timer) while I watched a movie. |

When I saw this thread a week ago I knew that I was in the worst shape of my life and that it was time to get off my ass and make some changes. I told myself that 100 pushups each week wasn't too much to commit to, and I did. Today I did 220, with 886 on the year so far. For first set of the year I was able to get 20 reps. Today I started off with 39. (Was going for 40 but halfway up that last rep was all she wrote )Very happy to be participating. Feels good to make progress for a change. |

I need 220 to be back on track Too much time in a goose blind, not enough time doing push-ups Attached File |

Quoted: Thats the kind of shit I need to do more of. I'll stop and do a set of pushups occasionally on a trail run, but nothing a while now. Haven't done much weighted hiking lately either. Another 302 today. 4x25 8x20 2x15 1x12 807/week 807/year Most I've done in a week ever, I guess I just never tried hard enough. Might be it for the week for me. Gonna focus on more reps per set next week. I'd love to be able to pump out 50 at a time. Also, for those interested, we've have a thread like this in the MTB/Cycling forum going, if anyone wants to post their ride (or ski) stats/pics. Post your ride/ski stats 172 today. All over the place today, trying to get more reps per set. 36 30 30 31 25 20 172/Week 979/Year |

I used to be in great shape until a string of back surgeries the last few years. Amazing how much strength you lose without regular workouts/exercise. The wife and I started doing some work last week, I'm doing elliptical, knee raises and pushups for now. Increasing time and numbers as I go, but man, do I feel weak starting out. Just starting with 3 x 10 each night (not every day, maybe I'll work on that). 150 for the month so far

My tits were hurting after day 3. Start slow. Do what you can. If I can, you can. |

Quoted: Morning? ![]() DROP AND GIVE ME 10!!!!! ![]() ![]() I was plowing snow from 10pm to 4:30am, slack please? I have a couple errands and then I will do today's pushups. I am really sore. I hit a manhole cover with the bobcat at full speed(it's a 2 speed too). The cover did not move. Bobcat went airborne and spun 180. My stomach took a huge shot from the crossbar. Everything hurts right now. But I'll do what I can. |
