As you know, I've been using Photoshop for a while, but I recently upgraded to CS5 and Lightroom 3. I'm still trying to understand the workflow concept of LR3; what are you using? <Sorry for the off-topic posts; reply via IM if you want...> |

Dang, where are these women shooters that you speak of? The only time I've ever seen women shooting is at a big gun store with its own range called Red's Gun Store in Pflugerville, TX when I went to see relitives in the area. My Uncle knew I liked guns so he recommended the place to me. Only I had something like 60 rounds of ammo and my AR so $15/ hour for just 15 minutes of shooting didnt seem like a good deal. I also saw the Travel channel in there doing a segment for one of their shows; too bad they're a bunch of fakes, bringing in their own crowd of people from a bus to shoot... Up here on the NW counties that border close to OK I usually end up shooting by myself or sometimes with a buddy. Oh well, moar ammo for me.  |

Well I just started shooting about a week ago. Gotta say that it's starting to grow on me. I'm looking forward to the next time at the range. Maybe I'll try something bigger than a .22 :)
First time shooting was with a tiny Walther .22. Hit the target on the 3rd try. You want the pressure from you holding the gun to be on the front and back of the frame / grip! And lastly..the only thing that should be in focus when you squeeze the trigger is the front sight. |

Thanks for the tip. :) I think I actually did switch my grip because my fiancee noticed the same thing and found it to be much better. I'll remember it for next time though, so Thank you. :) |

But even if I could afford the rifle, the ammo cost would kill me or my right arm would be twice as big as it is reloading. I know what you mean that when you get out the big dog (rifle) that people tend to leave. I do have a single shot Ferret-50 and love shooting out to 600 yrds (longest range around me). And I also love the brass in mid flight shot. Dang it is great to see a gal behind one of them big old 50 BMG rifles. I have not tried shooting mine prone yet. Looks like it's felt recoil would increase from shooting off of a bench. Again great shot and thanks for sharing. |
